small lights are all you need for a cup and a chance to win a real light! I cant remember who (chronikool?) but some guys in previous competition had the shittiest 40watts panel from walmart or something and still did amazingly well

I would like to represent TCLSeeds in this competition! :D I may be running my own cross for this comp. I am a little confused on all the rules though here is my take on what I read.

12-12 from seed, No veg time!
Party Cup standard size only
start with 5 end with the best female
People vote for winner
Post at least 1 per week to update everyone or your out
(Is there a light req? or any other reqs I need to know??)

You can use any light you want, but you cannot change lights. The plant has to stay under the same light source form start to finish. You have to stick with that one. There is possibly a new rule that we can run all 5 then choose the best at the end.

Fuck i got my c99's in and am tempted to use 1 they are fem and i have the lights to really grow it especially with air injection soil i need the demention of a solo cup will have to cut a cup down to perfect size i am not buying solo cups they fill our landfills and dotn want a solo cup so i need the measurements or even how much soil can it hold like 1 2/3 cups soil so i can use a cup i can keep and reuse if needed.

Haha hyroot jr u kno me to well, honestly i was so close on buying one for my green house, but something told me to build my own led. And thats what im going to do, im over light manufactures, bottle nutes, CAPITALISM! But hey i would take one for free!!!!

See u at the cup, trying to get my hands on some rascal genetics agian. Ill also be bringing some of my yoda OG ROLS!

Damn, I've followed/read some of these, looks like a lot of fun and can't believe the yield from some of these cup grows! Want to get into one but right now I'm at the end of a grow, planning the next, building a new room, fixtures, and started my first breeding project, too much shit goin' on... and $#%! work gets in the way :( Good luck to all participants, will be cheering on the sidelines and keep an eye out for the next one :)

looks like it is 3-5-9, told it wouldnt roast anything. Reading the back it looks like most of any amendments are already in there.. Please understand, this is uncharted territory.

The stuff I have lying around, thinking ill definitely use my kelp/silica/fulvic spray, but did not know if incorporating the bennie brew would be a horrible idea? I had started reading the ROLS thread a bit, feeding 101, etc etc getting an idea of what I can use to wrap my head around this shit..

I will also be entering my dwc cup, again :shock: I figured if we can keep 5 up till sex, SURELY the chance of my taproot drying out will be long gone past at that point. Jim let me know if this gives you a sense of unease.

edit: may need perlite (would verm be better?), and slow release calcium?

I'm not sure if you know but you have until the end of Feb to get a cup running. Still a bit of time

No doubt, a backup to a backup to a backup hahaha. naw, I just cant let go of my little DIY rig, saved it just for this event. Gonna have to get in there and find the leak, not putting too much faith in 'er..

The solo cup comp is just a perfect opp/reason for me to dip into dirt, but if I am going to try soil, it is going to be all organic. Lots of learning, always more to expand on. It IS a sick addiction.

After the comp I figured I could do a Control w/ my keepers in one of the cabs.


I am still between which light source I am going to keep the PC under, but leaning towards throwing down my last 3 SLH over my 5 SQ.

Man i got extra lights extra everything but a space i dont have a 12/12 room going yet jsut a 24/0 and a 20/0 maybe in 1 month my 20 room will be at 12/12 lets hope so i want to enter just to see how close i can come to 1st im betting in top 20 if lucky since their are so many excellent growers here. ill also find a solo cup so count me in if i can do a solo cup late feb and still qualify for it. Ill be using air injection soil in a solo cup with what my others are loving right now for tea mixes. oh and ill be using c99 fem seed just 1.

Here are my babies. they are 14 days old from seed. 9 days from sprout. 7th day in veg with 20/4 lights. air injection soil . this is not for contest want to show how ill do it if lights get too 12/12.

Hmmm, will see if there's any way I can work it, will need a separate area for this as my clone tent, veg cabinet, and flower room will be full and cycling, perhaps a quick & dirty DIY box in an unused corner.... cheers :)
