..the five in front,thought it would be fair to show my lights and where they'll be.

I thought I remember reading much earlier that jimjim said any vessel holding only 16oz complied with the rules. OK to use this Pilsner glass that holds exactly 16oz? Why you may wonder? I like the shape, prefer glass over plastic, and can weight the bottom easily for stability. But I will comply with the ruling and stick to solo if the judges insist.

This is a party cup competition!......so NO......growing out of clear containers isn't recommended anyways

Hey Hyroot, if you check my thread I just put some beans in solos, now ill admit its only been one day in the cups with 18 hours light under a hans panel butttttt they havent even sprouted above ground yet so can I enter the challenge with one of the cups?? A purttty pleease lol?

I've got the same basic thing going on coke, but instead of my solo's being under the light they are on top for the added warmth. Granted the light run's 18/6 but nothing is sprouted im more using the light as a heat source till they start to sprout then they will immediately go under 12/12. If your gonna do it I'm gonna do it..lol

16 oz is a more important rule than the container having to be a ''partycup'' . I am curious to see how it would do, no hole for drainage? I am not opposed to you entering the competition with your 16 oz beer glass.

This is the official update thread for the 4th party cup grow-off. Contestants must provide a photo-update every weekend from here on out, or they're out.

The rules are simple:
1}MUST be in a 16oz plastic party cup,
2}MUST be started and finished under the same light source,
3}MUST have your seeds germinating no later than Feb. 28,
4}MUST post update weekly.
5}No Veg time, straight flowering

Write on the cup the following:


Strain name
Date germed
Date seeds pop out of cup


In your first post, give a few details about your strain, medium, nutrients, lights, any training, etc...


Competition ends when all contestants have harvested. Any questions let me know. Let the games begin! Good Luck and Have fun!​

if people don't follow the rules they will be disqualified. Its that simple and their own fault for not following them.

12/12 from seed means the seeds sprouts out of the soil in a 12/12 lighting schedule.

seedlings are still immature so they wont begin to flower for 3 -4 weeks. They will stretch and grow like the first 2 weeks of 12/12 in a normal grow before they actually start flowering.

I don't want to have to be a bouncer for this club

Rules say "No Veg time, straight flowering" Not my fault that my lights flower at 13/11.

we all already said its ok if you do 13/11. Only people with IG's can do that or DIY pontoons. Imo I don't think there's any advantage to doing 13/11. So I don't mind. My next batch I'm starting flower at 14/10 then gradually drop to 12/12 by the end of week 2. By then I should have seeds germing too.

some people don't understand what 12/12 from seed means
they are vegging their seeds in 18/6 or 20/4

I hear what you're laying down there. Was just throwing out my banter (as weak sauce as it is.) Ill try harder in the future.

I have roughly a 4x4 room that I run one light on a mover fairly close to the girls (~12"). I run 13/11 to try and get as close to 25 Moles/day on my plants. Of course, I have no way of knowing if I'm there or not, but it makes me feel good about myself .

I do 12.5/11.5 schedule for my babies the more sun the more energy they put into flowering right? maybe i should move to 13/11 but this seems to work well for me. Well update no sprout's out yet but I only soaked them for 12 hours before planting basically so I didn't disturb the fragile taproot. Still waiting tho I imagine they will come through tomorrow. I'll post pics when they do hell I just might wait till saturday to post pics being the 1st of the month and all.

I will do a dwc that just sprouted. Hopefully it's a girl. Using 3 100w cfls on 12/12. Medium is perlite and miracle grow soil I got 12 oz cups so it's in the peat pod for now. I think I'll do 3 and then whichever is female first will be my entrant since I'm growing from regular seed.

Time for my hourly. Need help deciding between which fem to pop! I'll let you guys vote between the strain that will embarrass all of you. Delicious Seeds Fruity Chronic, Cheese Candy, Sugar Black Rose, or Ceedsman WW? Mind you I am using the best HID in the whole wide wurld...bare bulb. Cocopuffs...LMFOA....uses the same 860w CMH, but with a girly reflector and a shitey HPS . I'm expecting at least 2 zips in Mr. Ladybug
