Cloning question

If I clone a female, will that clone be a female as well? I know it sounds like a stupid question but I did a few clones and one in particular is distinctively male.

-I'm just curious if I screwed up somewhere or if there is some explanation............

A clone, by definition, is genetically identical to the donor parent. Can't address your supposed male clone question w/o pictures. My guess would be misidentification.

yes. you clone a male you get a clone. hence the definition of cloning! to make the EXACT carbon copy of something. Not sure about the male part though. maybe you mistakenly cloned a hermi? Not experienced in that department, sorry

it is, but this was a total newb question that's been addressed for years now on this and every other forum. at least he was more polite than most of the other long time growers on this site would have treated you.

not saying it wasnt a total noob ?? but even so im always down to help a fellow grower and not ridicule bc thats what we are all here for correct??? help fellow growers??? no matter what their credentials are???

Thank you for all your info, as it turns out my plant is a hermaphrodite.
@BSD0621 thanks for pointing me in the right direction I found a lot of info else ware but it helped me get the info I needed.

Lets talk weird:

I cloned a small branch...
Went right into Bud [cloned for sex]
Had a nice little bag seed Bud...All Female...
Then I grew out the mom...
Part of the plant started throwing out Nanners....
The daughter Clone had none...
Part of the plant was Hermie...
Not the whole plant...
Lessoned learned... Bag Seed, = unstable genetics...could be stable... might not be...
