Has anyone bought/made a Supercloset? I have a couple questions : )

Hi

I'm moving soon and I'm going to invest in a grow room probably in a closet/laundry room. Well I just saw a "Supercloset" online for like 1200 (I know you can make on for cheap but I'm a girl and I can't build lol). It looks pretty neat but I'm wondering how the smell would be like In flowering stage and how much can you(I'm looking to do a SOG) yield? It looks really stealthy and perfect for an apartment. I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with it?

save money and try search craigslist for old big closets or dressers.. then convert that over... alot of people throw that shit out so it could be FREE!!!!

but if you dont mind spending the 1200 go for it... its (rip off to me )

far as sog... you prolly gonna have to run 12/12 from seed or clones... dont have alot of room...

What size light you plan on running.. u growin DWC SOIL HYDRO?

1200, sounds like a rip off only because we could build something for next to nothing, BUT for 1200 what all do you get, is it turn key? How big is it? Might not be a bad deal for someone who hasn't the means to build or fab something.

Thanks for the reply Reklaw, I guess I can pay my step father to build it if need be. I just didn't think it would hold up for flower(Have never grown but people say it stinks up the house) or heat issues. I'm open to whatever system will work best for me. I'm gonna start from scratch so it doesn't matter (No soil though). I like the grow tents too but I guess the stealthyness was a big wow factor for me. Yea I was gonna keep mother plants(in a separate closet, but Im not too worried bout that it shouldn't stink just vegging) and take clones and run them straight to flower. I was thinking a 600 watt would be ideal too. I'm just worried about the stealthyness and stink really. I will have my own apartment/house but I don't want it to go through the neighborhood.

It is a rip off I guess. You get everything with it nutes/lights/set up You an start growing as soon as you get it. I really just love the stealth. I just don't know if it will hold up till harvest.

So is this 'super closet', is it a tent, cabinet or what? Is it from supercloset.com or the likes? There is guy on here with the huge 9x9 gorilla tent package, has YouTube of the thing posted, looks really nice.

Yea it's like a black cabinet. Umm yea the have some on they're website or the likes of them. LOL I found them on youtube actually too. They look really cool but I don't know how much you can really harvest and the smell. I can get one built to my customization though so I would probably do that. I just don't know about heat/harvest/odor. I would rather have a cabinet over a tent if the cabinet can be just as effective.

I really like that led superstar cabinet, not for the listed 1195, lol. But that is a nice quality locker, prolly 300-350 just for that. I see no problems in the cabinet holding up for years. And if you priced out the led light, fluros, fans/filters, complete clone/veg/flower hydro system, nutes, pH, and all the other novelties and then factor in it is basically plug n play setup, go for it!! Like I said, sight unseen the locker looks durable and the fans are filtered, so as long as you keep maintenance on them there won't any odor. Might be a rip off for someone who could build that in a weekend, but overall looks like a decent deal.

Lol cool, That superstar look good. I like that supernova grow box but it's a pretty penny lol. I'm thinking I can just make it though, looking at it now it doesn't seem very hard. IDK but It's stealthy, and that's what I like. I guess I can grow in a closet buuuuuuuut....... I want all my closets lol. Thanks for your replies : )

Can you just use a tent instead or does it need to be more stealth? I run a small 2x3x5 tent in a spare room closet, have carbon filter for smell, inline fan to pulling filtered hot air out of tent. Doesn't smell to bad unless I have the tent open for extended periods of time. My setup is pretty stealth my girlfriend hasn't found it yet, but there have been a couple situations where it was open smell leaked out and she asked if i had just smoked because it smelled. Can also grab some Ona Jell and have it in the area to help. Also there are strains that will smell less or more so can look that up as well. Super closet has a nice design on paper and great to get ideas from but way overpriced. Have you decided on what type of light? That will have a lot to do with heat issues. I love DIY and there are so guys who go all out to build a cabinet but for me spending $130 on a tent (I got mine used for $80 of CL) was worth it.

What kind of light do you have in your setup?
My uncle flowers in a rickety old locker bout the same size as yours. He runs a 150w hps for two plants and no exhaust fan, have never seen any heat issues with his plants

Well really I was initially leaning to the Tent being in a oversized closet. I want a 600 hps for sure lol, with Perpetual SOG Flower/Mom Veg. I will live alone, but In a apartment. I was thinking Tent, carbon filter and ona gel would do it. Buuut a nice cabinet looks good and idk seems less messy and is super stealthy, I can just have it in my dining room while moving it wherever if I need to. Tent is set up and doesn't go anywhere for emergencies IDK. It just seems like a better fit for me overall. After looking at pic of the supernova I'm sure I/my stepfather can recreate it. I kinda just thought they were really special and hard to make lol Silly I know. I like looking at DIY threads and I think when I move and get 1000 bucks to spend I'll make a thread for help on customizing one.

just go with a tent to the specs you want... you will be happy there stealthy.. you stay with your self?? got alot company?? maybe throw it in ur bedroom... you can run a 600w bulb long as the ventilation is right on to keep it cool in there.. just run a carbon filter to take care of the smell.. you will be okie dokie..... and you said no soill?? so you doin ydro or dwc??

Take pics and keep us updated on the progress whatever way you decide to go :blsmoke:

I think the cabinet would work best for your living situation, and having something that you can just wheel around, keep locked up and doesn't look too suspicious is a definite bonus.

Yeah check out space cowboy the cabinet he built is nice!!! Just don't use cfl!! Kidding cowboy. I was using a 400 hps in my closet/tent but def had heat issues in summer even with my vented hood ducted to attic. But it was just during hottest months and had to run house AC. Electric bill got expensive too. I have since switched over to the Area 51 led. So far loving it heat not issue and can throttle fans down so not as noisy. Plus half electricity being used. If you do get the 600 I recommend adjustable and oversize inline fan as well with speed control so you can dial everything in.
