Looming marihuana shortage???

Did anyone see the cbc news now broadcast concerning a shortage of pot ready for the 1st of April? They were showing Medijean, who have invested 10 million into their operation, yet don't have any product because they haven't been authorized yet. Only five LP have been approved from approx. 400 applications. Rona Ambrose with her c****y little grin....just wanna smack that bitch....assured everyone that there will be more than enough to go around.....

wow....it's like another train leaving the track. I am holding on to my papers for as long as I can.

I'm just someone who reads the news, has read the MMPR several times, and enjoys correcting false rumors and misinfo from professional complainers.

I was trying to start a different conversation. However, I believe that 190,000 kg of marihuana was authorized last year. As of yesterday there are what,.... 10 for the sake of argument.... LP's now authorized to go. Do you really think there is not going to be shortage given those " facts"? Assuming, as the government is, that all 37,000 of us sign up on April 1st? I only want high test and don't bother offering me any low grade shit either. Are you still ready to go? Ok. 15,000 patients sign up on April 1st. There still isn't going to be enough legal (and that's the kicker) marihuana on that first day.

I am not a silly chicken.....I got my info from the same sources you say you reference. What false rumours or misinfo did I present in my thread? How did I try to convince anyone that the sky was falling? No need to come out swinging.

I think the problem will be avoided by lack of participation by patients. I can't afford to pay $10/g for my 10g/day, so I lwill not be registering. Exactly. A shortage is a real possibility, of course. But not all that likely, precisely because the system will build up slowly as not all 30,000 are going to immediately participate. The fact that the same people on here who say everyone is going to boycott the system also think it wont supply demand seem to be missing their contradiction.

Also, there are already 6 LP's, and LOTS more on the verge of being licenced who are ready to hit the ground running (Agrima, Tweed, etc). There will likely be hiccups, but everyone screaming about the sky falling will likely be cricketsville in a year.

The best boycott would be for all to sign up with 1 LP and then never buy a gram. Imagine if PPS had 30000 patients and the others had none? It will never happen but it would be epic.
In reality, Im signing up with an LP, making a purchase. If it doesnt work for my conditions, then I have a reason to continue to grow my own strains that do work. 'I tried your shit and it didnt work' is a better defense than a simple 'fuck you Im a rebel'. A first year law student could get me off.

When you support people like punky coming here and being holier than thou, it takes away from the forum. I'm all for free speech, and I read every post regardless of who posts.
