Will be watching your thread develop. I just got my area 51 SGS 160 and popped some seeds about a week ago (Abusive)..going to mainline as well. This will be third round using the technique and have been very pleased with the results. Def take a little more time upfront during veg but fun process. Its funny when I was younger I wanted one of those photo trons as well! I ended up making my own little box out of T12 shop light fixtures and grew a couple from start to finish in there.

Glad to have you here, rwbrock! Feel free to chime in. This is my first run at main-lining (proper), so I'm sure you can help me out. All of you guys make me envious with those Area 51s, man! Soon enough, soon enough. Got another tent today! You know how we roll...not replacements...ADDITIONS...lol. "What could having TWO tents hurt, after all, hmmmmmmmm??? It will be handy that the A-51 is suitable for veg AND flower.

My main-line victim's growth has gotten to the point that I can safely remove those fan leaves. The surface area they added has just about been made up.
leaf-size.jpg
There is also enough separation to allow me to safely remove them (with my shaky hands)

Snipped as close as comfortable

All done - will let her recover a little before some BONDAGE :hump:

Looks good, bud. Are your hands shaky because of your SCI or are you just getting old like me?

Shakira looks like she's growing good. Leaves look a little droopy to me, but what do I know? I would guess it's from a little too much water? What do you think? I wouldn't worry about it. She's growing fast.

Yep - SCI. I do the running man in my sleep, too...lmao. She wasn't REALLY droopy, but a tad. Was waiting to water her until after I moved her and put her back (smart pot). It was also really new growth, so it was still straightening out. She's looking alright now.

This is just for scale, so you can see how little she is.

I am pooped now - I am going to take care of something that is long overdo after wrestling putting this together.:joint:

Saw you got your Green Gator! It actually isn't as large and heavy as MOST.

Ah...YEAH!!!!! How do I get on the judging panel for this one????

Yup, she's lifting her arms up!

Hey, ANYTHING would look tiny compared to that Haze monster plant!

I like your addition. Santa must have been good to you last Christmas. ;-)

Where are you putting your Green Gator? Will it fit inside one of your tents or will you put it outside but in the same room as your tents?

God, I need to move to Colorado!!!!!

I don't have one yet. Got the tent first. If I hadn't already ordered the tent, I'd have gotten that first with the special. I have another model in my flowering tent suspended via a crossbar by ratchet ties. My fan is connected inside the tent. When I get the gators, I will get one for each tent, suspend them via those nifty little hangers, mount inline fans outside the tent, and run ducting from there to the attic. Here is where it is in my tent now. It DOES take some real estate - my tent is 32" wide.

And D - Neecy is the reason I went tent first. I think she may end up taking the whole first one over. She's READY to go!!!

I've always had trouble seeing things that are right in front of my face, so maybe this is another example, but I don't see a filter behind all those branches hanging to dry. I definitely don't have enough space in my cabinet to put the filter inside it, so I'll have to figure something out. It MIGHT fit on top.

Hey gb, is that white thing with the sharp corners the air filter? I had no idea they were so huge! Foolishly, I thought they were about the same diameter as the 6" ducting. I don't think that even the Gator will fit in my 2' x 3' cabinet, so I might need a slightly bigger tent. Do you have a recommendation? (Another thing I never bought before.) Ouch! My wallet is telling me I better grow some good pot in it!

Edit: Holy shit! That branch does look like a fuckin war club! Looks like about 4' long and that stem is THICK! Beautiful work, dude.

Edit: My coupon code was GGF02. Also 10% off.

I put a double-sided arrow over the filter and fan - it barely fits in the tent. Many tents won't hold one this big. Be sure your poles are steel and not plastic. This tent was a Lighthouse Hydro 32"x32"x60" and was only 100 bucks. No complaints...I just got another. Don't worry Dave...just on your way to doubling your output is all. Veg in the space you have now and flower in a tent! Lol. I am looking at venting the room vs both tents. I have been kicking around the idea of enclosing a filter in a bin that is ducted on opposite sides, one leading to the duct on a tent and one leading to the fan/exhaust. This would reclaim that ceiling space in the tents if it will work. Also may put two of these in the attic and have noise cut down by getting the fans out of the room....if it works. Otherwise it's 2 Green Gators and 2 fans...filters in tents, fans in attic. When I replace the filter I have now, I have to take it down, detach/reattach filter and fan via tape, and put back up (weighs about 30 lbs together)

It's a beautiful morning!!!! Got a plant coming out of the flower tent and into darkness for harvest, finally getting Neecy (amnesia haze) into a bigger home, and STARTED SOME BONDAGE!!!!! Easier to do this when your growth is green and pliable. Be gentle, and make sure your material isn't so thin that you cut into the plant (or damage roots if you use staking like I did). I see lots of people doing this with pieces of cut clothes hanger fastened to the side of the pot, but I fashioned these little guys out of some floral wire and tape (for cushion). You could also use paper clips and another form of tape. Just use slow, steady pressure using your fingers down by the dirt to push both wires in at the same time, so if it gives suddenly, you don't push down and injure your tips. She has no safe word!

Just some added filler for those paying any attention. I re-potted Neecy (amnesia haze) in a 3 - gallon hempy bucket instead of a 5 gallon that I normally use. I am thinking this will get her roots into the reservoir left at the bottom of the bucket by design much faster. Glad I got the new tent after taking a picture above and seeing that she is as wide as a pretty wide chair. I would BARELY have room for 3 of them in the tent, so hopefully she doesn't triple in size.
Neecy_from_above_2_liter_pot.jpgNeecy_repotted.jpg
And trimmed off the predominant fan leaves of BabyD (white widow x big bud) to put her into the dark this evening until very early Saturday morning.

Boy, do I wish I vegged her for 10 days longer. Live and learn!

I have two lighthouse hydro tents one is the 3x1.7.x5 foot and the other is 6.5x6.5x6.5 foot and I love them. Great quality for the price I would have paid 600+ dollars for a similar quality one by another maker for the large one and got this one for 150$ !
