Forbidden fruit breeders cut - dwc , 4x4 , jacks , kind x750

Thinned a pile of branches out , and will prolly do it one more time . I have two active air 8 inch clip ons moving air through the canopy , as well as 2 of the 8 inch Walmart fans underneath - pushing air up and around as well . I run a 4 inch intake fan , as well as a 6 inch exhaust fan. I’m really thinking about moving the exhaust carbon filter outside - because I’m just heating my room back up , and the intake also has a carbon filter , as to not let any unwanted smells around my babies . Without a doubt I’m going to either need to move a mountain of air around , or bring a dehumidifier over , placed right next to the intake and exhaust filters and get some moisture out . I don’t have room for the dehumidifier in the tent itself so it’s gonna have to remove the moisture from my entire room- luckily it’s very large , and holds 3 gallons . I used it for my 10x20 porch and controlled it effortlessly

Excuse the mess lol, I’m taking pics pre cleanup . It’ll be spotless tonight before I’m done . I should’ve taken more but I’m crunched for time and have to be to work in 6.5 hours as it is

And just for shits and giggles . Some flower pics of my granite haze X iced latte X purple punch .

I’m thinking about getting a few more bales of pro mix , twenty or so 13 gallon pots , starting some of my night owl gear indoors and sending it . I absolutely have time to do a crop out on autos still .

That defol will really help but you are "a victim your own success".

Good that you've got a powerful dehu and that you're read in on VPD. I can't imagine trying to run a grow like yours on "feelz".

Things are lookin' really good amigo.

You aren’t kidding . 2 days later and doesn’t look like I did a damn thing but that’s good right

Things are moving along nicely - we’re at full strength now , 3-2-1 and they seem to be hammering .

Lights are cranked , they’re still stretching - I need to lower humidity or add several fans during lights off . Only issue I’ve had with dwc is humidity climbing to 60% during lights off . Lights on I open the tent to keep temps lower , and add some cooler air . We’re shooting hairs now ! Should be forming some flowers soon !

On a side note I have two small autos that are done , that I’ll be putting in darkness for 48 hours , on Tuesday . I wanna get a good flush in . There is a pile of amber in them right now - so this will be night time smoke .

Glad you brought that up. I don't see any intrinsic benefit in the "sunrise" and "sunset" features that grow light companies offer. I put it in the "naturalistic fallacy" category.

Where I do see the sunset feature as possibly having some benefit is that by gradually reducing light levels, temperatures will tend to drop more slowly which means that RH will tend to rise more slowly, and that can help preclude water from forming on the leaf surface.

Since you're seeing a sudden rise in RH, gradually reducing PPFD might be something you want adopt in your lighting practices.

"48 hours of darkness"—there's a video for that! :-)

Could be something as simple as restarting the browser.

Did some defoliating this evening . They’re getting mega light right now , which is what I want - I’m trying to add as many cola sites as possible . I ordered a new trellis from ac , and still waiting for it to show up - so for now all I can do is bend , snap , tape and shoot for the best . This was an expirement more than anything . My first go at dwc , and so far it’s been very successful I think .

Very excited to get my next run ready - with the white truffle , as they’re not as much of a “stretcher” and like to bulk up and grow out fast .

I’m setting up a new cloning station in a spare bedroom . The light is to intense and heat is to hot to keep them in check in the tent now .

I agree. I had no idea this was your first DWC. Everything's looking great and that's no mean feat. You're running CO2 and fighting off high temps.

The expression "Juggling chainsaws" comes to mind!

Might have to drop the plant count. How many did you end up with in there?

Going into "manufacturing mode" it sounds like.

Next run should be cooler, let's hope.

I haven’t even hooked my co2 tank up lol. I can only imagine how they would be if I had from the get go . Co2 is pretty high in my home - around 7/800ppm , but the addition of the tank through flower should really help stack on some weight .

My only issue is water temps / tent temps aren’t honestly all that bad because I run lights at night . Humidity during lights off is an issue but I’m pushing a pile of air around so it’s no causing any sort of chaos . I also spray weekly with lost coast plant therapy.

I’m about to do a heavy heavy defoliation in the next few days , so that new growth can start catching up . I honestly don’t even care if I fill the canopy out - as I already know the quality is gonna be out of this world.

Before my next run , I’ll be insulating the buckets , and even contemplated doing a backwoods “redneck” water chiller , running a piece of pex through the bucket , coiling it around a beer bottle , with heat gun , to create more surface area , and circulating ice water through it to keep temps inside buckets down . Use a large cooler as my reservoir and a submersible pump to move the water through .

I’m sure the reflective insulation , on its own , will help majorly. Thankfully the canopy has been so dense , I don’t think it’s allowing the light to reach the hydroton or black buckets to heat it as it is .

Hopefully I can afford the ac infinity terra form , so I can pipe ac directly into the floor - and keep the buckets cold , but for now I’ll rely on old school maguyver esque inventions to get the job done

And no doubt about it , no matter what the next run will be cooler / once September hits here , things cool off quickly . Before you know it , I’ll need seedling mats and foam board insulation under the floor of the tent , to keep the root zone warm I honestly can say , I’m not excited for the 20-40 below windchills aside from the fact that it’s easy to grow in . Especially with how dry it is in winter time !

Things are shaping up nicely . Light intensity is cranked , they’re stretching , flowering and eating at a rapid pace . I’ll be doing one more heavy defoliation/ lollipopping this evening , as well as full nutrient changes and icing down buckets dsily around midnight ,

Lights are pegged - fresh nutrients ; just need to remove some of the smaller lower stuff . I like to wait till the stretch is over to see exactly what makes it to the top , but they’re growing so rapidly , I think I’m gonna take care of it tonight .

Should still be a decent yield , even though my trellis hasn’t showed up, and I don’t have the canopy 100% even .

I’ll be happy with 1lb of killer head smoke tbh .

I just wanna hurry up and finish this grow so I can start a batch of white truffle

Also have platinum lemon cherry gelato , but that’ll be my last grow as it yields the least and will be solely for head smoke as well . This forbidden fruit is very fast flowering for sure - all my FF outdoors are in flower , while my other strains haven’t even shot a calyx

I have a cross of this coming up next! Beautiful garden BTW. I don't know how yall do all that water though lol gives me the heebie jeeebies! Lol
This is the first time I’ve ever done dwc. It’s more work than my auto pots, because I have to add nutrients every 2-3 days being individual buckets , but the results speak for themselves .

Yeah I have a breeders cut of the PLCG from pops genetics . Everything we’ve purchased from there has been absolute fire .
Platinum lemon cherry gelato
Forbidden fruit
White truffle
Cap junky

Are just a few of the strains .

I’m planning on hammering the lights tonight , which will require me to ice down the buckets to keep the temps in check

Things are cruising along nicely . Impressive how fast the flowers are forming and how fast the plants have stretched . I should’ve spent a little more time on this , but my trellis never showed up so I’m gonna just run with it . I thought about super cropping everything - and trying to fill it out a little more but honestly I just want to get it finished up to make some mods to the system and run grow 2 .

Lights are at 100% on both channels - 78 degrees in the tent , nutrients are at a cool 70* , and they’re all !! I’m so impressed with this , that when I upgrade to a larger tent , I’ll be doing dwc again , with a water chiller , and another set of buckets , 10x10 with 16 buckets , vegged for 2.5 weeks - trellis and trained slightly better .
