I agree. I had no idea this was your first DWC. Everything's looking great and that's no mean feat. You're running CO2 and fighting off high temps.
The expression "Juggling chainsaws" comes to mind!
Might have to drop the plant count. How many did you end up with in there?
Going into "manufacturing mode" it sounds like.
Next run should be cooler, let's hope.
I haven’t even hooked my co2 tank up lol. I can only imagine how they would be if I had from the get go . Co2 is pretty high in my home - around 7/800ppm , but the addition of the tank through flower should really help stack on some weight .
My only issue is water temps / tent temps aren’t honestly all that bad because I run lights at night . Humidity during lights off is an issue but I’m pushing a pile of air around so it’s no causing any sort of chaos . I also spray weekly with lost coast plant therapy.
I’m about to do a heavy heavy defoliation in the next few days , so that new growth can start catching up . I honestly don’t even care if I fill the canopy out - as I already know the quality is gonna be out of this world.
Before my next run , I’ll be insulating the buckets , and even contemplated doing a backwoods “redneck” water chiller , running a piece of pex through the bucket , coiling it around a beer bottle , with heat gun , to create more surface area , and circulating ice water through it to keep temps inside buckets down . Use a large cooler as my reservoir and a submersible pump to move the water through .
I’m sure the reflective insulation , on its own , will help majorly. Thankfully the canopy has been so dense , I don’t think it’s allowing the light to reach the hydroton or black buckets to heat it as it is .
Hopefully I can afford the ac infinity terra form , so I can pipe ac directly into the floor - and keep the buckets cold , but for now I’ll rely on old school maguyver esque inventions to get the job done
