if you are rich buy the a51 if you are like me go with the lg-led mars II. they have 3 diff sizes and will make them custom for your needs. like if you want just bloom led or an led to take you start to finish. i dont recomend that. get one for veg adn 2 for bloom...i would have 2 lights 1 for veg blue and white lights only. then have 1 light for bloom

More equipment means more equipment to break down. Or keep it simple, go with a SGS190, full color spectrum, one panel 100% output (no lights turned off) don't need anything else, and yeah I guess I'm rich, don't hold that against me. I still make educated efficient decisions. One thing about having money, once you have it, your biggest fear is losing it.

You have all the right colors represented with the white CREE leds. The light intensity is very comparable to a 400w HPS but with increased blue and deep red color over the HID.

You sir, are a savior. You would recommend only one 190 though? I have so many overall questions for you lol.. is there a way I could pay you for your expertise?

Thanks for the offer, but I don't do this for money. Just PM me if you have questions and I will get back to you when I can. Also posting on my thread Other Side of the Fence is a great place to ask questions. I have a lot of great growers on that site and they help other growers all the time.

How many panels? From their website on SGS190. Just apply that info below to your grow space.

Coverage: Minimum 24" x 32" ;
Maximum 39" x 39" ; Recommended 32" x 32"
We recommend that you try to stay close to 32"x32" as possible.

ive seen grows from both and i can say is you would have to buy 2 of the area 51 to cover the 4x4 area. that is $1100 you could get 2 of the lg-led mars II 700 watt (around 400 true output) for $700 the will produce over 1 gram per true watt. you can also have uvb added on 390 range so it wont hurt your plants being on the whole 12 hrs. im sorry but jsut because the area 51 costs more doesnt mean you get more. with the area 51 190 you will get 190 grams of yield under it. the lgled is just as good but saves you allot of money and you will get bigger lights also which means more yield.

Did you know that on Area51 products can upgraded? The guts can be replaced for a small charge and you can stay current with the latest led diodes?

You also have great support from someone here in the states that stands behind the products they sell. If I was in another country, I'd look at more vendors overseas like my buddy Slipon. He found a good company in Europe that ships to his country.

But the led market is sketchy and you need to go with a company that's going to back your investment. And yes, in this case, the extra money goes into quality components that will last much longer than competitor panels.

That's bs. You get multi product discounts at Area51 and they come on sale all the time for much less.

190 grams? Really, where did you get that number? Every grower will have different results.

Lights do not determine harvest weight, grower experience + gear = harvest projection. Even then, we get cocky and wipe out a crop now and then and end up with nothing. Last harvest under the SGS160 was 364 grams. I'd say that's on the top end of this panel and also the top end of what my 400 watt HID can produce.

okay you are right china used to really suck but a few from 420mag got with lg-ledsolutions and worked with them. now any light in the last year they make is higher quality led's and in the right spectrum. i wouldnt push them if i wasnt on 420mag and read the reviews of the grows that came form them. its the end result that matters. these lights will grow as good as any light in their range.

i agree if you have the money sure but allot of us dont have $600 for 1 light let alone $1150 for 2 for a 4x4 area. but $700 for that area is doable. i do like that you can upgrade the a51. and yes buying american made is the way to go if you can afford it.
