they were about an inch away but at the time i had 3 26 wat cfls 1 46 wat cfl & 1 50 watt cfl they were all about an inch to 2 inches away. the 26 watts were like 3 inches away so i took out the 2 big ones and put in one 26 watt so now i have 4 26 watt cfls all about 3 inches away. so should i just water them & let them be? see how they do by tommorrow? they looked pretty shriveled. like i dont know how bad super bad is but they looked bad but im a 1st time grower so maybe its not so bad. bvut they looked shriveledlike the leaves were pretty nice size & now they looked completely shriveled so what do you think?

you need an outake as well as an intake try opening up the aquarium thing to allow you to vent. It sounds like too much heat, not light. Was this your second batch of clones?

I don't think the lights are the problem unless you can't hold your hand at the tops of the plants because of heat. What medium are you growing in? If soil, what's your mix?

Do you have a thermometer and a humidity meter? I'm a newb with very little experiance but I've found my biggest enemies were heat and humidity.

If your plant looks shriviled up and dry you need to know if your either too hot or too arrid or both. I bought a great dual meter with high and low memory for around $11 at Wal-Mart, I love the thing. If I come in and see sad looking plants I can look at the meter and see if it got too hot over the day. It also let me see I was able to get the humidity of my bloom room up to 50% from around 35-40% with a humidifier I got for $20.

Also you can mist your plants at least twice a day to help with the moisture loss through their leaves. Don't use an old spray bottle you have laying around the house, go buy one specifically for misting and don't use it for anything else. I had bought a bottle a long time ago and never used it for anything but my girlfriend HAD used it with a cleaning agent. So even if you THINK it's never been used with anything just get a new one

it might have been to hot but does that mean there dead or can they still make it?
also i have three plants that are in day 3 of flowering can i take a clone off of one of them to replace my shriveled plant?

Sounds more like heat stress to me. How hot is your grow room?

You need to try and keep it below 80 degrees.

i know, i got it cooled down in there i took out some of the lights because they caused the over heating. what do you think is the best way to take a clone & make sure that it lives?
