Brown Spots on Fan Leaves

dwc+top feed system. 250w cfl, 24/0. sprouted on jan23, tomorrow marks 3 weeks. have been strictly on distilled water ph'd to between 5-7...its been fluctuating due to rockwool/hydroton.

is this signifying to start veg nutes? or should i still run with water and add calmag?

I don't grow hydro so when to start nutes in dwc I wouldn't want to say. In my soil grow I start low dose nutes around 2 weeks from initial rooted transplant.

Far more study required on your part, since when does your inert materials affect Ph...? go figure, naturally start with the lowest reasonable sized nute feed start very low and slow, add cal mag if and when required

im gonna let this calmag do its magic and hopefully tomorrow these spots will be fixed. then ill start veg feeding. its an auto so hopefully it doesnt mind a beating from my rookie self.

rockwool has a higher ph and is being put into my rez through the top feed...so thats why is affecting it. i lower my ph almost everyday to 5 so it can fluctuate back up to 6.5-7 before i bring it back down. from the research ive done, a fluctuation is beneficial due to difference absorption rates of nutes. idk if youre trying to troll or make me feel stupid, but dont come on my thread if you dont have anythin useful to add

Usually once damage is done it stays. I could see surrounding tissue looking better, but don't expect nice green leaves to return

yeah it was more of the fact that the spots seemed to look a tiny bit better around the edges. thanks for the info though. ive been away from my plant for 6 hours now and wont see it for another 3, hopefully all is well.

Holy shit!!! A whole 9 hours without seeing your plant??? OH NO!!! How is it ever going to survive?? LOL I love some of the things new growers say. Peace brother and happy growing.

Just start with 600-900ppm from the beginning. I'm sick of people suggesting to run 0-250ppm for seedlings. Noobs keep coming to the help section (or here) every time asking what's wrong with their plants, and what's worse, they're usually told it's nute burn. LIKE HELL IT IS!

Feed your damn plants! 600-900ppm. Your plant isn't going to get nute burn at those levels no matter how young it is. It's a myth that seedlings don't need minerals... Calcium, for example, isn't even able to be re-mobilized, yet people believe the cotyledons can somehow mobilize it to new growth. Nope! All age plants need food.

The "experts" really need to stop suggesting noobies starve their seedlings. If they were human children, it would be considered child abuse.

Go feed your kids watered down milk and take them to the doctor after they develop incorrectly. Tell the doctor you didn't want to burn the kid.

Lol i'm going to try that next time.

Im always underfeeding I feel like. Then I get yellowing leaves and people do say its overferting.

I usually subscribe to the starving seedling notion and have slow starts and dead seedlings.

Wooooooooooo! I couldn't agree more. I started and continue to have my seedlings start at ≈600ppm and my plants grow explosively and healthy. If anyone wants to see proof of the quoted-above statement: my journal. If you don't want to see proof, but continue to read this reply: think about all of the nutrients readily available in the soil we walk on, the same soil the cannabis plant has naturally thrived on for millions of years.
