Can you live on minimum wage? (Calculator)

You're not addressing the root causes. The root causes of inflation and high costs of housing etc. are created by government meddling. Asking the pedophile to watch your kids is a big mistake.

It's sort of like you lost your car keys. You lost them in the dark driveway, but decide to look for them in the living room because there's more light there. That won't work, but at least you feel like you're doing something by lifting couch cushions and waving your arms around.
Rob Roy do you want a non-government world. Please tell us how this would work?

really like they "meddled" me out of 20% value of my 401k? fail.

car key analogy maybe that's how they do things in the GWN not in the US

EDIT: if you've never caught "Too Big to Fail"..you should.
As usual it is backwards. We have govt precisely because of Private Meddling in basic people needs. We have govt, to be against the arbitrary exercise of petty power, in housing, food, and normal human affairs. We want to keep our daughters from Uday and Kusay Insane, at a minimum.

If you can't mentally unroll the entire scope of man's presence, then you are not trying, We have not been present for very long. And self rule is still a prototype.

We could organize in 40,000 bce, so we did. And we protected ourselves from such a bootstrap beginning we can't even remember how that happened,

Now we call it Govt, our common enemy, but nothing has changed, at all. We are our common enemy, and we have no other enemies.

Very simple and we create these governances to straighten out all these things, even the ones, that the foolish children blame govt for.

Without govt, you have warlord, there is no other stable configuration. And since us monkeys can try it all, we do. So all these baby critter ideas, that are thought to be so new, and from the one RIGHT book in the world, like Marx, or Tammerhill, have been defeated already. How do you think they knew enough to write about it? It is all plagiarized from history. And I thought Che's stuff, for example, was new. Oh hell no. The Greeks, Hindus and Chinese had warlord problems long before we did,

Without one of the stable forms of leadership, we have nothing, So, Govt solves and the solutions are not perfect. It is all a compromise with the "good of the Many." It is set up only to solve large problems over generations for the group. Namely and mostly protection and large public works.

Govt is not the problem. People that believe our self rule is a problem, is the main problem.

Well, I have asked many times in many ways. And he cannot answer and he seem too stubborn and lazy minded to even consider his own proposed consequences.

It is not just him. Many suffer from the delusion of, "here is what I would do!" Of course, we know better than to ever let them do anything. Amateur book readers, with no skin in the game....Have no production and pay no taxes, live in the actual Utopia of the USA in the 21st Century. But they cannot see their luck. They want to change it. It is already beyond the wildest dreams of all Utopians. And it changes itself to our WILL over time. That is the Utopia of peaceful compromise, we have already.

But, that doesn't stop Utopians, for it is a mere dream they chase and cannot explain, and cannot face the consequences.

It all would depend on Honor. It depends on the other guy doing the right thing, against his interest when there is not law or penalty against DISHONOR and just following selfish, self interest,

The Kilngons have long known. Humans have no Honor.

Well, the real question to me is why does anyone think you can "make a living" from min. wage. You can't, nor are you suppose to.

It is entry level, or exit level. The beginning or swan song of wages. Do you think I am above going to a min. wage, job? I am not.

I am beneath staving and I have gotten help from self rule, before now.

Londonfog, why do you want a life totally controlled by central government, give us a glimpse into your perfect world.
That is staw dog sophistry. No one said total control. No one said perfect world. This is self rule, either you get it or you don't. 95% get it and like it, just fine.

So, Fog is not proposing change or utopian. Yeti is. You are just completely off topic. We have IT.

You want something else, but cannot describe it.

Then so is londonfog's "non government world" a fallacious argument.
I've been around long enough to see that Rob Roy wants a smaller limited government, not a world devoid of government.
Just trying to be fair and consistent.

I don't think Rob is for any govt. I have never seen him propose anything but a total, no-govt situation.

So, you are not being fair. Devoid is his stance. Why? Because he proposes vague and UN-described Tammerhilian Volunteer Associations. (a plagiarized concept from Anarchy talk)

He doesn't understand that is exactly have we have, here. This is how govts starts out. And there is no such thing as a strictly volunteer association with no hierarchy to make decisions. Associations are run by warlords, petty or not so much. Leaders we call them.

If there is any reason to associate at all, it is the reason of power in numbers, right? So, associations are not voluntary ever. They exist for power. You can be forced to leave, and by Gawd, you can be forced to join.

In Londonfog's perfect world no one makes fun of his micropenis that he feels the need to do partial quote lies as a means of lashing out. So I feel him. Actually I lied, his micropenis is too small to feel.

Of course there isn't a complete volunteer association without a prescribed authority, but that does not mean we should ruled by a centralized government, you are leaving local and state government out of the equation.
I'm willing to wager that Rob Roy is a Libertarian who believes in small government and is pro states rights, quite the opposite of londonfog's quest for a centralized European model.

Hey Newbe. Have your own opinions. We all know Roy Rob these last few years. You don't and you just lost the bet.

And stop with dog straw. London has not said any of that.

You are just spewing, and projecting. Let us hear your thoughts. I don't see that you have London, Rob's or my positions at all.

What is yours?

And I didn't leave anything out. Self rule begins at the School Board.

Why, I am having my own opinions but I feel a bit of resistance because of my lack of tenure.
Are you saying Londonfog is not for a centralized government in the US?
