Hi there, I apologize if this has been asked before. I am new to the indoor gardening and am going to start with coco and the canna lines suggested in this fine thread.
Question is, if I have plants in saucers, should I empty the runoff so It wont re-feed up through the roots between feedings?

Hi i have a canna feeding chart from my local hydro shop but it starts from the veg stage,il be using the a&b,rhizotonic and cannazym my seedling are 14 days old can you give me any info on when each should start beingvfed and how much

First off you dont have to run what canna says, i run half strength without fail!
but with seedlings i would feed ewc and kelp teas till they start to show signs
of wanting food then start off real light

Checked the link out its pretty much the same as the chart ive got and about its half strength through most of the chart,this is my second crop and i got given the chart towards the end of the first which was a right ball ache(deficiancys,toxic build ups was flushed pretty much every week,i put down to feeding the amounts it said on the bottles,the end product was decent and i got the weight i was expecting plus learnt alot about diffrrant deficiancys and stuff,would be easier and less stress ful without them though thanks guys

Ched Im an old outdoor grower so all this is new to me. It seems to me it is like a controlled experiment so, it is quite a challenge (for me anyway).
I just finished test grow using a soil mix using FF lines. Genetics were good, weight was good, stone was mediocre and the taste was something I wouldn't subject my dawg to.
I got it all wrong. So Im going with the base stuff all these people use and Is proven.
Because I know the genetics the plan (mine anyway) is to find the best method for me.(Only growing for me and my lady and friends)
Im excited because Iike the challenge of dialing it in.
In our outdoor grows "Hey Bill looks a bit yellow mate.....yep more horse chit so wed dump manure on em and hike back out lol
no mention o PPM or ecc or calmg lol
Biggest drama here wil be temps. BUt I have a cunning plan baldrick

I agree, half strength and mine have never looked hungry.
If you want to use the chart just select half the size of your res, so if you use a 20L res to mix in then select 10L in the chart and use those quantities in your 20L of water, obviously set your ph afterwards

i used some unbranded coco my last run feeding with ghe lucas formula and magne cal. lots of lock out issues all the way through the run and still more than doubled my yield over soil..
so now i have the canna pro+ and canna a+b amd im looking forward to getting on it.
i do have a couple of questions?
1. im planning on (when mixing nutes) putting in a mixing with an airstone for an hour adding b mixing for another hour then any other addatives like magne cal+ pk... is this way of mixing correct for canna nutes??
2. im seeing green on the top of the coco in my pots. is this down to the benificials??

1. Why are you adding a airstone to the mix. If you are hand feeding there's no need to do so
2. I run coco I've never seen green on the top. Do you have perlite mix in with you coco?
If you go to cana's website you will find plenty of helpful tips.

Really depends on how big the seedlings are. After a couple full sets of leaves, start low with1-3 ml/gal. Or you can try CANNA Start which is made for seedlings.

Canna start is good stuff but i find even it can burn them so run it half strength

High, im having a problem with nitrogen ( dark green leaves ) I've already cut my nutrients to 1/3 of the recommended feeding schedule and im still having a problem. I just started to get it under control by flushing and got color back to a healthy color green . does anybody have any suggestions how to control this ? also im doing sog with 600 watt led, thanks

I find with coco you can run alot lower ppms then with other substra.
for instance during veg i like to keep it around 450ppm and for flower
i start at 500 and work up to 600/650ish only peaking when using pk13/14
plants will be nice and green but not to dark and will fade out during flush
very nice like.
Rule of thumb only feed more if they want it

thanks, if you follow the canna grow schedule , they want you to max out at 1200 ppm which seems impossible to me right now because of nitrogen . another thing im confused with is when do you start counting wks of flowering, because canna grow schedule says to add pk at wk six into flower, does this seem late ?
