A few questions about dark reversion.

"During the night Pfr very slowly degrades to Pr in a process called dark reversion so that in the morning there is a lot more Pr than Pfr. When the level of Pfr falls below a critical point, flowering is triggered"

My questions follow: Can you make Cannabis transition to flower quicker if you give it only one hour of light per day for a few days? How would this affect the plants that like to stretch?

Thanks.

Typically you're going to force a hermaphrodite when trying things like this with pot. Do a search on the process of Rodilization.

one thing I have found is that plants vegged under 18hrs light flip to full flower more quickly than those vegged for longer lights on periods.

also shorter veg photoperiods tend to reduce stretch as well.

Have you seen the pfr pontoon?
Phytochrome sunset indoors, neat shit.
idk about one hour a day man I like the 18/6 even with my stable strains. If you're growing fem seeds I would think the switch from 18/6 to 1/23 to 12/12 might piss them off but idk.

Some growers use a 24 hour dark period to kickstart flowering. I am not a fan as some strains make bananas easily that way.

Ive heard that gas lantern will give you a headstart on flower thats a 12 on 6 off
1 on tyen 6off and 12 on again, it supposedly does exacrtly what your trying to do
And builds up levels of flowering hormones to high enough levels that ive heard
It eliminates that little 2 week period from 18/6 or 24/0 to 12/12 that the plants seem to be
Adjusting to flowering in. (Never used this schedule myself but things to watch are
Indica doms they dont seem to like it as much as sat doms so beware the hermie.)

As it's the dark period that determines flowering and the light period that determines growth, I'm far more interested in how a 18/12 would go? Just be difficult to set our 24hr timers up for though...
