Hey everyone Im flowering 3 Grand Daddy Purp under a 400watt HPS at the moment. Everything looks good exept one of the plants started flowering way too early and it happened to be my best plant out of the batch. It started yellowing fast like 2-3 weeks into the flower. Im well into week 4 almost 5 now. The buds look excellent but at this point even a few of the small fan leaves sticking out of the buds are starting to turn a little yellow. Will the buds be ok? Should I just keep going. I feel like Im too far in to add any kind of nutes now. The buds look as filled in as could possibly be and the hairs are starting to turn orange. Here are some pics. There is one pic in there of a bud that is turning purple. Let me know what u guys think. Thanks again

You have pretty much described what is happening to one of our girls and the yellow leaves look like hers too (all curled up and pale yellow.) We still don't have a definite answer, so I am curious what others might say it is. It didn't start on the bottom like nitrogen deficiency, it started at the top. Our best guess at the moment from doing hours of reading is that the phosphorous heavy flowering nute we are feeding her raised the ph and caused an iron lockout. But she also has some brown spotting which I believe to be calcium deficiency. Only time will tell lol

If they yellowing that means nitrogen is directed to flowers ! The process here stops giving leaves enough food in order to provide more power producing the flowers ! Chill Out mate
Unless the yellow leaves are new leaves or excessive, fast discoloration

if it was me i would feed them. the buds look good but they have a long way to go yet. if you are 4 to 5 week into flowering then you have around 3 to 4 more to go. they are getting ready to start packing on weight now.

Nute lockout ( usually over nuting and PH being way off ) can cause yellowing mid flower.
And from your pics I see signs of nute problems.

While I do agree that yellowing is natural during late flower...yours looks kinda early.

Maybe flush with 1/2 strength nutes ?

Looking at your pics again...way too early for yellowing and you have several nute problems.

No time to play guessing games in flower, flush them and then give them a decent feed to get them back on track, imo of course

I had the same thing happen recently at about week 5. Instead of feeding the flower nutes I did a 50/50 with some grow nutes for a couple feedings. They improved a bit immediately and held steady for another couple weeks. I agree there are some other deficiencies there but kicking up the nitrogen just a bit may help IMO.

I have never flushed a plant so can't comment there (I use 90% organic soil/nutes).

OK then,,,what flowering P&K supplement are you giving them, hmm?
I'll bet dimes to dollars your applying to much P&K WAY to early. P&K tox. They won't come back to green so just cut the P&K supplementation and run your BASE flower nutrients!
Bearded - your close. P&K total is what for your feed solution?

Bloom boosters can be snake oil to those who do not properly apply them......Keep in mind that the manufacturers want you to use it and by more......so overuse for many reasons tends to be the #1 problem I see around here!

I haven't given any nutes since I started flowering. I gave it nutes like 2 weeks before flowering. The yellowing is moving pretty fast. I'm afraid to add anything to it. I see no reason to flush if I haven't added anything to the soil. The drainage is good. I doubt there is any salt build up. I figured I might just let them go and see what happens. What do u guys think if I just let it take it's course?

The exact same thing happened to me many years back. The buds smelled like pencil shavings and produced an acrid, bitter smoke. The high was mediocre. My yield was dismal.

Dude... just don't be afraid...
Your plant needs to feed....
It is feeding on itself....
You need to feed it...
Feed at your next watering... if say you water two quarts, water one quart water, then second quart a nice 5-5-5 nute mix [nothing harsh]
Any brand... any water soluble furt/nute...
In a pinch any Tomato Fert...
Your plant is hungry...

When you mix it's meal, if graph says 1 tablespoon per gallon/// use at 1/2 Tablespoon per gallon...
Use at half strength, to ease your fears...
In a week you will see a positive change...
then up dose...weekly...
Your plants have 3-4 weeks at least left...
Feed um... soon...

Guys... OP says he has not fed them...
Well, don't you think a little feed is due?
Flush would be a waste...
Not fed plants are very hungry...

Because It was getting over severe nute burn. I gave them half strength this morning we'll see what happens. I hope it bounces back.

Another thing...
I have found, that 'feeding' when soil/medium is extra dry, the up take can be a bit harsh...
I have pushed the limits of feed, and had to back off...
What I found, on extra 'dry' plant, give it some water before you pour a chemical fert/nute on them...
Pouring a Chem Fert on extra dry plant could do root damage... which manifests itself as a leaf tip burn...
If your leaf tips get 'dry' or brown [maybe even point down] that is the sign of over ferting a plant....
One week of 1/2 strength check close in 4-5 days... if all is good up dose...

5-6 weeks from now, plant will be finished... dried.... cured.... and you will be smoking....
Enjoy the ride...
