this is my first run in a secured room i built out in my garage w/ the tent inside. wife and i celebrated our first child last fall so the garden was moved to the garage so that the spare bedroom could become a nursery. colorado's laws require a grow to be in a concealed, secure, locked space so i built out a space in the back corner of the garage and then put a tent in it. it has presented some challenges - i have limited amperage and temperatures can fluctuate. this is also my first run w/ these genes after years of running a consistent mix of cuts from friends w/ predictable outcomes so there was a little learning curve there as well. in retrospect i probably should have stuck w. something familiar but since we were shut down for a few months and then started in a fresh space it also felt good to start the search for some new strains. all in all its gone well despite a few leaves getting a little close to the light on these chilly nights when im trying to conserve heat.
the nerds were a late addition. i initially had a bunch of rare dankness's moonshine haze beans that a friend had passed on from another friend. he had some samples of the smoke that was harvested from an outdoor grow that was very impressive so i popped a bunch of those w/ the citrix. well, they were finicky little ladies and they were lagging far behind the citrix so i started doing some research and found that rare dankness says its a 70+ day strain but some people have found it to go over 80. i took a few months off during the transition from house to garage so the stash is getting low, lol, 80 days might be too long. so i gave all but 1 of those out to some friends who have more space and flexibility in plant counts than i do and popped the nerds about 6 weeks behind the citrix figuring i'd just fill in some holes and pop to 12/12 as soon as i had 5-6 nodes on the nerds and could tie the tops down. the nerds is supposed to be a week or two quicker finishing up so i hoped that the lag in getting the nerds through stretch might have them finishing about the same time. so far it looks like the nerds might actually be a little behind but it may also just fill in real quick and ripen right up. ive never run urkle or sour so its just kind of watch and see at this point.
the citrix have started their flush and a couple buds are starting to purple. i might give the nerds another round of nutes this week since i think shes a little behind. the moonshine is not pictured.
citrix - grapefruit x la confidential
nerds - purple urkle x sour diesel
corner of the tent, the big hairy bud is a nerds cola
citrix, top tightening up
