Hey guys lookin for some advice.
Tent size: 36x18 by 60" high
Current light: 250w HPS with an old bulb that needs replacing.
Previous Ligh: 2x 180w Blackstar (60x3w)

So for that space I was going to scrap the HPS cuz of heat and go back to LED. I was set on getting the xgs-190 so I emailed Jeff to see what he thought about putting it in my space.

He said the space is to small for the 190 or even the 160 and that I should get 2x RW75s.

Im worried about yield. I usually do small plants between 4-8 not more than 24" tall.

Give me some advice. I would trust Jeffs guidance cuz he makes the lights but I wanted more input. THanks guys!

YES!!Trust Jeffs guidance..
And mine,if you feel like it ..

2x RW75s will be more than enough for both your grow-space and your
grow style(I usually do small plants between 4-8 not more than 24" tall.)

And a hard guess ....
You should expect somewhere between 4oz up to 8oz,per grow cycle..
(be patient ,with time comes led growing experience... )
But, prove me wrong,please..

Harvest more than that ...

I don't get this thread? Why wouldn't the 2 75's work for you? The other lights wouldn't work so you were given a solution that would.. What possible advice were you hoping to get? Floss after you brush player..

Edit: I think I ran an SGS160 in a 36"x20" fwiw gl

Thanks for that. I read a ton of your information last night and I really value your opinion.

Well its like going to another doctor for a second opinion.

Sure... but if your doctor told you that you needed surgery.. would you ask your veterinarian what they thought?[/QUOTE
]

Who is the " veterinarian" ?
Me ?
You ?
The rest of RIU community ?

And who's the doctor ?

I do not get your attitude, bro, towards a simple question that somebody made ....
Anyway..You got your time ...

Now it's rolling time ...

blowingcherrypie always has a piss poor attitude, this is suppose to be a community based on helping each other I guess he doesn't understand that.

He asked the person who made the lights (doctor,) who gave him his educated opinion (surgery,) and then he's asking a bunch of people who have a general idea but no practical knowledge (veterinarian) for a second opinion?

Sorry it went over your head.. I don't have an attitude, I just think second guessing the advice that the person who made the light gave you is the definition of asinine... similar to asking your vet for a second opinion that your medical doctor gave you.

And YodaParrot.. I wont even start with you.. Get a grow or two under your belt

Funny because looking at your grows you barely get 1 ounce per plant and my plants give me 4oz + on low yielding strains and 12oz+ on sativa high yielders right now I have a 5 foot skywalker OG kush plant that just started flowering prob gonna have more than 1.5 pounds.

been growing for 10 years, just started with LEDs this year but been doing CFL and HID for a long time. I have some strawberry kush plants about 3 foot tall that will yield no less than 3 ounces each and this skywalker plant will yield no less than 1 pound. Get on my level before you open your mouth.

i ve been beyond that level for over 15 years. i just had a major setback 7 months ago. and major legal issues in 2003. never went to jail. theres stories about me and homies on biography and vh1. and my homies dad too. theres an article about him in a 1980 and 1990 issue of high times too.

I'm not trying to hate its just sad to have forums that are here for help and instead people are just using them to rage people out. Next time I wont stick up for the new users and I will let cherrypiefail rag on them.

I'm glad to see that at least 1 person who replied to this thread actually gave usable input. What ever happened to peace love and smokin' weed man?

I ordered the 2xRW-75s. Super stoked, can't wait!

Thanks Stardustsailor and Jeff.

Vets are certainly smarter than a doctor, an MD makes his diagnosis from 75 percent of what the patient tells them, what's a vet do.
Personally if it were me I'd go to a fucking vet , fuck the MD.
Seems off topic a touch but not that I give a fuck, this is the led section where noses run high!

Me tinks the question of amount of light in an area is answerable by more than the producer of the light. Any seasoned grower is qualified to answer that.

personal preference!?

i kinda like more than I need. Trying to grow the fattest led bud possible. Sumpin like what a 1000w hid can do...I don't mind the efficiency loss. But I do have the option to dim so it's a little different.....not that I have much..lol

i would of bought the bigger light choices. For example I've been running 360w in a 36" x 20". Crazy by lots of people's standards but I like it...

BUT!!

the lights you just bought will probably be the bomb. It was a win either way..

You edited your post about your yields before hyroot ever respond...

This post above said your skywalker was 5 feet tall not 3...and going to be no less than 1.5lb not 1...0 and 5 are far away not the keyboard, and it was just a little out there to begin with. I saw it and just went away, but now you are talking shit for others editing.
Everyone bitching around here that is suggesting lights should be showing off what they do under their chosen lights. Hyroot obviously does that, cherrypie does too just fyi. There are a few others on here who have an attitude some may say, but their work in their gardens under what they are preaching and actual knowledge of subjects is more than enough to over look some snippiness.

I'm not here to step on toes or pick a fight, but this is my point...If you do good things in your own garden, people will take notice and see your experience. But you got to start out by showing people why you know what your talking about. There will always be different levels of credibility...but all we can do is keep improving each time, both in knowledge and practice of that knowledge. Sometime actual growing/use can defy paper theory, but if you don't show it, it's just another claim in this industry.
