Email Seed Bank Bust

So I'm late to the party and found out that the government(u.s. other nations laugh) can open any email messages after 180 days or so. So what if they have a program that scans for seed purchases? All they'd have to do is read the email and your address as well as the companies address possibly your real name and payment method. So then comes the bust.

I could be wrong but in my mind
there are too many seed purchases daily to mess with too much for small scale busts.

If I were mass producing I would use clones.

Where'd ya find this out? Got a citation? To MY knowledge they still need probable cause to open a warrant to bring charges based on any info found in the email. No warrant to open & read = no evidence at trial.

Char is right tho.....seeds are too much hassle for an indoor production.

@ Jack Harer look up the Electronics Communications Privacy Act of 1986. Apparently if it's been archived for more than 180 days it's implied you don't want it and that you don't expect a certain level of privacy in your email(weird). So they treat it like any document handed off to a third party. So they don't need a warrant at all. True it maybe some small time busts but they can broaden the search. Instead of just searching for seed purchases, they could also search for other equipment purchases like carbon scrubbers, cloners, light set ups ect. If they get that info then they can weed it out. People who order 1000 watt lights vs people who order just 400 or 300 watt units the size and strength of the carbon scrubbers or fans. It could paint a pretty clear picture of whatever set up it is that you have.

If you think that you're email, texts messages, face book posts and phone calls don't run through a text search / voice recognition software st some stage ..... you ain't paranoid enough. Do you really think any government gives a fuck about the civil liberties of the individual compared to the importance of maintaining total omnipotent power? Don't want to sound all conspiracy theory on you, but the American Regime, along with the rest of the developed nations stretch the limits of legality and human decency whenever they deem it necessary. It's the world we live in. Until the revolution...

True, true, revolution though? Drones would vaporize your ass. Probably everywhere now. Back to the main though. This would be very possible, just combing through mass amounts of emails or just emails from seed banks with the most traffic or hydroponic suppliers.

ok then, since 1986, how many people have you personally heard of that got busted because the homeland security or who ever read their email and saw that they ordered some beans online?? one, two, zero, nada, zilch would be my guess..

It's not just seeds though -_- grow equipment can be traced through email confirmation of orders. I mean right now it seems stupid but how long until they wise up or want to ramp up their bust numbers or make an example out of somebody or make a public statement? Sure a couple hundred bucks worth of seeds isn't much at all, but when you couple that with a couple of high wattage HID lights what you're planning to do with those seeds aren't so ambiguous. Especially if you order cloning equipment. I'm not saying it's gonna happen or that it is happening just that it is very possible.

jesus dude, you need to lay off of the sativas.. you were more on to something with beans as beans are illegal in the us of a, but there's nothing at all illegal about ordering some hps lights nor some clone equipment as they're all perfectly legal products... cops can't arrest anyone for buying something that's not illegal after all..

That's why I love all you guys, you ain't real. Just pixle pissants. and I'm a ghost to all you too.
There are undoubtably feds, narcs, navy seals(!) and dea agents who are repped up high posting griw gurus on this and every other site you can sign up to. Don't think they care much about 'lil ol' me and my imaginary friends though. I ain't hurtin' nobody.

LOL.... have you ever heard of the NSA man. They can read your texts, listen to your phone calls.. They have a giant database with all that info. White houseis trying to get them to get rid of it though..like thats gonna happen. But honestly if you are scared to have seeds or lights for that matter shipped to your home. Don't grow. The only person that will get you in trouble is you.

It baffles me to think that there are still people who think the government respects "rights." They will do whatever they please and they scan emails, texts, calls, and other electronic info on a daily.

When I was in the Navy we did it all of the time, in America and abroad.

I don't doubt that they are spying into most every electronic device we use but let's get real, they have bigger fish to fry than worry about some seed orders and a few lights. Plus, if the day the raid came what information would they use to prove probable cause? I doubt very much they would want to bring to light the fact that their info came from illegal spy programs. The attitude toward marijuana in the US is at the finally to a tipping point and I would be surprised to hear about any new increase in funding for marijuana enforcement.
