What size pots for Main-Lining?

What's up guys, I just wanted to know what size containers would be recommended for Main-Lining. I currently have my one week old seedlings in 16 oz solo cups inside of a 4' x 2' x 5' grow tent. I plan on transplanting them into smart pots but not sure what sizes to buy. 1 gallon then flower in 3 gallon? Or transplant into a 3 gallon then flower in a 5 gallon?

Never done main-lining myself, but the question is how many plants do you have?

I flower in the exact same size tent, and fit 24 plants in it at a time, but I'm right from clone to flower.

Main-lining requires a lot more time in veg (from what I'm told), so if you have two plants, I'd say 5 gallon start to finish, but if you have four plants, go 3 gallon all the way. If you're main-lining, I wouldn't go past four plants, regardless of size. In fact, unless you keep your plants relatively very tight, to get good light penetration, you don't want more than 3 (4 max) plants in that tent to begin with.

I start mainlining in half gallon pots-that usually does till theyre trained for four,then I transplant into 3 gallon buckets,where I go ahead and mline for eight.Once theyre tied down and have 8 healthy shoots I put them in to flower.
Dont put them into flower till a week after youve done the last topping and training so that theyre in good strong health.

I'm good then, I have four in the tent. So you're saying from solo to a 3 gallon all the way 'till flowering?

Thanks man, when would be a good time to transplant the girls from the solos? I was thinking once they have 5-6 nodes and ready to start being mainlined.
