That is not logical, and is not the way the world works. There are many wacky claims in the world, bigfoot, werewolves, gremlins, Scientology, thousands of gods and demons of different religions. We don't believe every claim just because they haven't been disproved (all of the things I mentioned are not disproven), we wait to see empirical evidence that claims are true. If your mom had cancer and her oncologist recommended rubbing peanut butter on the tumors, you'd probably not wait around to see his method disproven before moving to get a second opinion. A good concept to get familiar with is The Burden of Proof: it states that is up to the one making the positive claim to prove their assertion, not for everyone else to disprove it, which is often impossible...
