Oh no. Major concept adjustment.
It got me too at first.
Shed light? A pun. They need no veg and can use 8 months or even 2 years or more. I have kept Clone Mothers for a long time.
So, the point of all this is? It is too confusing to explain. And most people, including me are either too confused to explain or they are in some myth or commercial bs.
So. Basic concepts. OK?
- Learn how to fail and get used to it
- Experiment with what works for you
- Get roots in a plastic cup with almost no watering. I call it Root Hunt. That only takes a week from clones.
- control overwatering by using small containers and transplanting a few times to grow a root ball, more ROOT HUNT
- Measure the concentration of everything. I use a PPM meter, but drops per gal or ml per quart, just measure it and take notes
- Don't fall for nutes and loollypopping and other cannabis BS. Plant food is all you need. (I use Sea Grow) Pruning is all you do.
- Botany is what we practice. And the practice of Botany is what we study, not cannabis grower myths
- Know the important minerals to add. Calcium/Magnesium (usually bought together) and Silica, for strong stems is all I add, any more.
- Understand this plant, collect pictures of Cal/Mag deficiency from the web
- Know you only need CFL lights, but there are better lights, that are much more hot and there are expensive rip-offs everywhere
- Know that 12/12 light period is the only thing that makes it flower
- Long Veg time at 24 hours per day, means more yield, from a bigger plant
- Know that it can brought to flower direct from a seed, no Veg time.
- Know that we cannot grow this plant. The plant will try to grow regardless of the environ.
- Only we can control the environment to allow better growth
- Know that your system which is you operating your setup is completely UNIQUE.
It is only your Situation, your Location, and your Funds, that make any difference to you. Nothing we say, will trump that.
Helps, I hope?
