Pro-Grow 400 or Area 51 XGS-190?

nothing personal. I'm just un a sarcastic mood. Area 51 is definitely better. The pro grow is loud as f#ck. The fans are horrible. The led's are low quality. They tend to fail. Hydro hut does not hold up their warranties. Area 51 uses top bin Cree leds. Runs quiet. Puts out very little heat. Has very high par and cri. The best warranty of all leds. Customer service is good and lags at times but still good. The other lights that compare as equal quality to a51 would be apache tech led and inda gro induction

yeah i'd much rather have good customer service if something went wrong..lol...i think i'm gonna go with one XGS-190 for my 3x3. and add another one if I don't like how one does....

Personally I wouldn't plan on a single panel to properly light the 3x3.. You will be able to veg nicely but I think you may want to budget one of their new 75's so you fully utilize your space. I have two of their SGS-160s in my 3x3 along with one of their older af90 for side lighting, just to give you an idea

I think it will do fine in a 3x3. Check multipasses thread. He just pulled over 4 zips of dj short blueberry (very low yielding strain) on one plant with xgs 190. That plant took up a 3x3. I've grown that strain before. All my other strains pulled double or triple of the same size plant of that of dj short blueberry

I believe so. I'm just trying not to click submit on 2-75s. Move the veg cab build a 2x4 table with scrog net and run the 190 with a 75 on each side. Don't need to but man I sure want to. LOL

I'm starting a grow this weekend. First time led user. 3x3 tent, 1 xgs 190, 4 inch inline fan filter combo. Plus small fan. Just got everything setup but didn't like the fan at full blast so got a variac transformer for speed control and now it all seems good. I want to see what this light can do with 3, 3gallon smart pots with fox farm ocean forest mix. Going first with nirvana Snow White. No side lighting just the xgs 190 by itself. I just got this light and I want to see how good it is by itself. Also it seems like a well made light.

Ok, planted 4 Snow White from nirvana. Soaked in shot glass for 27 hours and only 1 of 4 popped in shot glass so I went ahead and planted. Planted Saturday night and just got home today Tuesday and so far 2 of 4 have broke through. My setup is 3x3 secret jardine, 4" ventech inline fan with passive intake and filter. 1 xgs 190 Area 51 and clip fan. Foxfarms ocean forest with still undecided nutes later. I'm very new at this forum but I will start a thread with pictures to share and get feedback. I'm going with 3 in 3 gallon smart pots with no other lighting help. As soon as I figure out how to add pictures I'll get started.
