1st grow.Northern Lights auto.Any help appreciated.

Hey.I just started a grow my very 1st one 11 days ago Im starting this thread to keep a record and get any help and advice people can offer.Ive got the 2 Northern lights auto plants I have which are at their 11th day from seed,growing in a cupboard thats about 3x3ft wide and 5-6ft tall and ive got them under 5 26Watt CFL's which i think is enough light for 2 small plants like this.Ill give them more as they grow.I went for Nthn Lights as I hear they were easy for a 1st effort .Im gonna fit a carbon filter to a hole i'll cut out of the door in my cupboard so i can close the cupboard door.My plants look healthy and have a gr8 color as far as I can see but they've got a slight rolling of the leaves not fm the tips but fm the sides someone might be able to advise on.
As I said they seem really healthy for a first grow but since it IS my very 1st Im very nervous about doing something wrong I had them in Miracle grow potting soil from seed but after seeking advice I changed to a soil thats Dutch called Bio Bizz light mix organic I got from the HydP store which is a premix of Perlite Spagnum Peat and Peat moss,and bought some Vegging Nutes called Flairform Greendream 1 of which no-one ive seen has a bad word to say about.If anyone has used this before I'd love some input especially the Flairform stuff...


Id love some advice on just about a'thing really as im a noob and this is my very 1st grow but I REALLY need advice on the Nutes more than athing else.Here's the Pics.They are a bit out of order in time but the latest ones are todays......

Just a word of caution. This picture is my RQ Northern Light as of 5 minutes ago. She is 28 inches tall and 25 inches from left to right. She is tied down.

I don't know the details of your grow but I strongly suggest LSTing her a tad to control her. Mine is tied down and she is still a massive bush. I wonder how big she will really get given that she is in her 7th week and has just started to get active as far as flowering.
Just keep an eye on your space constraints.
For a size reference, my tent is 4 ft long x 2 ft wide x 5 ft high

Ok after measuring my cupboard again it is 2.5Ft x 2.5Ft for the 2 plants I have.It LOOKS large enough to hold 2 of what you have there (REALLY nice plants by the way) after a bit of management.To be honest Ive heard of LSTing but don't really know anything about it so i'll look into it.Can I ask you What nutes did u use and when and how often did you feed them.I have this one bottle of Vegging nutes which I have read from a lot of weed growers is some of the best stuff out there but I'm having trouble putting a schedule together.Im not 100% sure how and when to feed them.Since my plants are only 11 days old I have gave them a quarter dose of the Flairform Green Dream 1 stuff and Im gonna increase it as I go.But I'm not sure if I feed them with every watering or every 2 or what....As I said Im a newb,but a careful one.
If I end up with a grow like yours at week 10 i will be a happy man. :)

Here's a picture of my grow cupboard.Im gonna paint it.tidy it up and take shelves out if the plants need more room later.......

Just be cautious as looks can be deceiving.

I'm constantly moving my 3 girls around to make sure they are comfortable.
I run Botanicare only nutes. Right now I'm watering those girls everyday now that they are so big.
I can't comment on how to feed your plants because I run a different set up. I do passive hydro via Coco hempy buckets and because of that, I feed at every watering. I also am not familiar with Flairform so I can't comment. Do they have manufacturer feed charts available? I'd start there. Also, regardless of growing style if you don't have one already I strongly urge you to pick up a pH pen and a TDS pen.

Yeah they have charts available but Im not really sure if I should follow the same routine as obv. these charts aren't for weed so im still not sure. I get paid next week so will pick up PH and TDS gear (which i really should have already) but for now the Nutes ive got I read that they have a large PH margin so I should be Ok until then.I really have to say that I got the idea of growing a bit of weed from seeing someone do it on Youtube but I thought Id probably find it a bit boring but because there's so much skill involved in not growing but growing WELL I'm really getting a kick out of it.I think Ill be doing this for a long time to come lol I love it.

By the way dude .Those silver trays youv got your plants sitting on.Ive got a load of them in my house and theyve been a Godsend.They're brilliant 4 growing young plants with if you haven't go a million lumens of light.What I did was got a dry cloth and really rubbed the trays hard until they were smooth as silk then cut them into the shapes I needed and used them all over the place as reflectors.They work really well as long as u make sure there's abs no creases on them....Just thought Id mention it incase it helps you out.

My wee chiks are coming on great.Its the 12th day since seed and today is the 1st time Ive looked at them and thought - Yeah this is gonna be a good grow.Only thing I'm scares about is the Nutes im giving them.GOt them on 1/2 dose of Flairform Veg that I started this morning so hopefully they'll be ok and I'm still keeping them on 24/7 light since they're autos still I might move them to 19/5 to give them a rest.How's ure grow? Tried to giv u and other people likes but cant do it 4 some reason.The site wont let me.Here's a couple of pics..........

Not to sound like a bitch...as I know it is mostly men on here. But....I'm most definitely female LOL.

Also, I use those silver roasters as drip trays only. I use them now because They are on the floor and I try my damnedest to keep my tent clean, not only because of hygiene, but because we have 100lb dog and his hair is everywhere. LOL.

Lol Sorry about that.I guess by looking now at your username it's rather obvious really.For some reason I tend to think that everyone Interact with on the net is male.Its just some bad habit I need to get rid of....and yeah I got a whole load of those silver trays for a pound (UK) as we have Pound shops here where you can buy just about any small item for a pound.Ive use them 4 everything from reflectors to like you, drip trays etc etc. Whatdya think of my homemade CFL reflector/fixture?? I know - a bit messy and cheap looking but it really does the job.

By the way in my last comment I uploaded the really close up pic of my plant because (imo) it came out as one of the prettiest pictures I have ever taken.It was an accident to.It looks like a computer graphic or sthing but its just a closeup I took with my phone....Am I tripping or is it as beautiful as I think lol??10042014342[2].jpg

Just wanted to post a picture of my 4 way cross. She is a f1 strain, and now in f2. Her name is K.A.S.I. she made Hightimes and is in this months issue ;) * side note. The reason her leaf is like that I had applied FIM technique to her and boy did I... lol

Can someone help me out here? I was in another forum and a guys comment that I was reading was speaking about the nutes Im reading so I was interested but he also wrote something else I dont understand about EC 2.7 or something....Please help and tell me what this 'EC' thing is about as Im sure its got sthing to do with the nutes (or sthing) Here's his whole comment....................

" I'm currently using full strength 2.7EC for one soil plant GreenDream Grow 1 part nutrient. "

Just a few more pics for the record.Plants are really startin to pick up.I thought that (For Auto's) my 2 plants were growing really quite slowly over the last few days.It was as if they hit a slump.Color-wise and everything else,they look healthy as can be to me but the growth seemed slow and because theyre autos I think im just getting a little impatient because of that Auto time limit on them.
Anyway I gave them a full Nutes feed yesterday - Flairform Greendream 1 (Veg). It says on the bottle to give normal plants 4-5ML per Gallon and I gave them 1/2 that a few days ago.So yesterday I gave them both a good water with 4ML.Soil is really damp/wet now so Im gonna leave it for 3 or 4 days at least and let that soil really dry out
So if anyone reads this,these are my Northern lights Auto's at 14 days.It's my very 1st grow so Is this a good size for them to be at, at 2 weeks old?? Any other advice or even comments on them will be amazingly welcome.I'm looking for feedback from anyone.........
