3 tent grow room set up

alright I just wanna share my set up and see where did I mess up or if there is anything I can do to improve. I have a 30" x 18" x 36" Lighthouse tent with a 4 bulb 24" T5 6700k fixture and a 6" 240 cfm can fan that will house seedlings and clones. Tent 2 is for vegging made by GyoSupply and is 36" x 20" x 62" and has a 400w MH bulb cooltube vented with a 4" 190 cfm inline fan. Right now this tent is empty but does not have a circulation fan. should I have one or will the air pulled thru the vents be enough? Tent 3 is my flower room and 4' x 8' x 80" by Milliard. There are 3 600w HPS cooltube reflectors cooled with a 6" 440cfm inline fan. Ventilation is provided by a 6" 440cfm inline fan pulling thru a carbon filter. Air movement is provided by 2 oscillating 12" pole fans. additional odor control provided by an ona block in one of the vents and ona gel in the bucket.

Wow guess its perfect!! The time I put in scouring the forums (mostly this one) has paid off I suppose! I got 19 babies in there now with a month between the 2 rounds. The first run are in 5g pots and there are 6 Ice and 4 Blue Cheese. The second batch is in 3g pots and is a bit of a everything 2 blue cheese 1 royal medic 1 power flower and 6 Kerala x skunk #1. All of them were feminized but the Kerala. In the baby tent there are 10 blue cheese. I got another 80 beans from Herbies on the way. Plan on switching from soil to coco maybe RDWC but still have a lot more reading before I'm comfortable with trying hydro again. Lost about 30 babies to stem rot on my first hydro attempt. I will start a journal so anyone interested can follow along and smack me around when I make a mistake or two...

I'm sure I made a lot of mistakes already, help me out folks.

Whew.... nice setup. I'd watch the extension cord on the ground though. Hope the grow goes well. :peace:

Oh... I'd probably add the fan, or at least have one available if you need it.

Lol thanks.. Thats the cord from the 400w MH and isn't plugged into the ballast.

What about a circulating fan in the veg tent? Will I need one or will the air sucking thru the vents be enuf?

A small fan is always good to encourage thicker stalk growth and the air movement greatly reduces the chance of Botrytis and Powdery mildew.

If it were my room, I would put a fan in there.
that makes 2 of us..

subbd up looks good.

how often are you exchanging the air from the room the tents are in?? or are you using co2?

i didnt see anythingg about that.

The tents all have an exhaust fan 440cfm on the big tent but its pulling thru a carbon filter. The veg has a 190cfm for cooling the 400w mh and air exchange.

CO2 was my next possible upgrade. My question, is will I be able to seal the flower tent enough to contain the gas?

boost the co2 for the whole room not the tent.

and re read my question

i know the tents have exausts. drawing air out of the tent into the room correct?

what about the air in the room? are you exchanging it? or just recycling room/tent/room/tent/room/tent?

Ahhh the room the tents are in... Missed that. Its an open room but I have a fan blowing the air out.

And I'm not sure I could seal that room well enough. Would basically have to build a room in the room I think. Although that may be in the plans for later down the road it isn't now..

your going to need to figure out some kind of air exchange for the room the tents are in.

wether it be co2 or turbine exaust/intake

The room is 19' x 10' and has only 3 walls. One of the 10' ends is open. Would air not exchange fast enough for me to not have issues? There is however a 12" fan blowing air towards the open.

how large is the room the tents are in
edit* its open meaning it goes to outside???

HeightX LengthX Width= cubic feet CFM rating on a fan stands for cubic feet per minute.

Lol I know what cfm is... The room the tents are in is 19 x 10 x 7.5 but only 3 walls... It is part of my basement. It is open to the rest of my basement. Don't understand what your last post is telling or asking me.

i apologize i started the post before i left work and finished it after i got back from lunch... lol

In the pic with the bucket that is the entryway but is open and 8'. The second pic with ductwork is the input. Behind the camera is a cold air return. However the furnace is currently turned off due to the moderate temps outside. Love the fresh air flowing thru my house.

how often do you figure the air is being replaced in the larger room every 5 min? 10 min etc.

No friggin idea. Lol. I wouldn't even know where to begin to figure it out... For what its worth I can feel air blowing by me when I stand in the opening.
