My plants are now day 26 into flowering, and im noticing small leavesnodes at the base of the plant. I'd kind of describe them as "Plant Leg Hair." Im fairly certain these small nodes wont produce much, if anything, especially with a CFL grow. Would it be beneficial to remove these leaves so the plant can focus its energy on other bud locations?
Also, should I do this to a further degree, and almost push the "sea of green tactic?" By this, I mean actually go as far as to remove some of the already flowering lower nodes to help concentrate the growth to the top? Im basically doing a SOG with bagseed, so all the strains are different. 5 foot by 3 foot area, about 500w of CFLs. I know this sounds like not enough light... but ill let the pictures speak for themselves. Some are indica, some sativa, some hybrid. Theyre all doing very well, but Im pushing the boundries of how many plants can fit into a given area with a given amount of light. Im thinking that removing some of the lower nodes even could help keep the plants focused on fewer, bigger bud sites.
Oh, and one last question... CFL's dont get very hot... but im trying to make a cheap reflector for mine. Can I use posterboard? Its cardboard... but are cfl's hot enough for that to be an issue? It would be sitting on the cfl probably.
These were taken about 5 days ago and they have come a long way since then even.
