First grow journal! Mataro blue from canabia seeds- Advices are wellcome->more info in thread

Okay Im sorry cuz i couldnt have a start to finish grow journal but However.. There's what has been going on so far :)

- 5x mataro blue (canabia) from seed
-600w HPS
-Co2 bag and 1 botle of homemade co2
-Growing in soil Plagron light mix
-exhaust sistem =Vk100
-Intake= just let some spots of the tent opened
-Vegetative stage=60 days
-flowering stage= 27 days today!
-Using 25l pots
-Did topping at cca 1 month and 1 week of veg + Cropping
-Unfortunately did defoliation that went too invasive for the plant that i noticed a 4-5 days lower bud production(cut of 80% fan leaves)



SO THERE ARE THE PICS 27 days flowering guyz :) If anyone got any good advice to give me with this strain WELCOME!

I am running five of these now as well. Something seems to have gone horribly wrong with your Mataro, you sir have runts!

My Mataro's are HUGE same veg time as yours and I mean HUGE. I do have one mutant that is short, but still way thicker than what you have there.

I haven't started full flowering on them yet, they are in 12/12 but already they are as wide as your pictures from 27 days. Mataro is supposed to grow to 2 meters tall and yeild 250-500g per meter.

All previous grows I looked up prior to getting Mataro showed colas growing the size of people's heads and SEVEN ounces from a single plant.

I see you are using CO2 and have a way better light than either that I have going on my Mataros... Just strange they look so tiny.

You've asked me my opinion of your grow so here it is....

First....ditch the home-made and bag of CO2....do some reading on both of these and you'll find neither produces anywhere near the needed amount to do anything. (I seriously considered doing the same thing until I did some checking).

That, and you can't have an exhaust fan going while using CO2....it just sucks it all out.

Wow....you vegged for 60 day! I think I went about 4-6 weeks and doing the Uncle Ben's topping added about 10-14 days of my veg time. I'm not saying that longer veg will have any negative effects, but I don't think you had to go that long.

Patience is a virtue when growing weed. I've found no matter how much you yell "GROW FASTER!" they will take as long as they want. I've recently started to harvest my plants when there's "mostly cloudy" trichs instead of waiting until the first sign of amber. I find the buzz more agreeable doing it this way. While Kannabia brags of a 8 week veg time, you should count on around 10 weeks. You'll find the last 2-3 weeks really bulk up your buds.

When you do finally harvest, you'll find you've gotten some very dense buds. Take your time drying and curing as the longer MB cures, the better the taste and buzz.

Woah thank you didnt know that bout co2 bags.. so i wasted 50e xD Ok since im worried i have small buds But i dont give a shit about this anymore in this grow season ... HOPING FOR BETTER RESULTS NEXT GROW :) But i need to find the source of the problem if the buds are too small so it wont happen again next grow... and I dare u to help me find it out unless the buds are dooin fine for its stage.... And yes! patience is a virtue all the way to the end of our life!! Im still learning to be patient :) Oh 2 pics showing bud size :D

Would love to make another mataro grow with your feeding schedule :D

I suspect that yanking of a majority of your leaves has hindered your bud growth...but that's just a lesson learned (I did the same thing). How far along are they into 12/12?

Thaks buddy :D buti still think they could be bigger cuz i saw some mataro grows ... Think i will never do the defoliation again in my life... Cuz the plants were so thick that u could not see anithing except the main colas :D now they are kinda naked bitches and they dont like it i quess :P Any picture of your mataro at 28 days flowering?

if u use a bigger pot you'll get a better yield. 25gal to 32gal will get you a better yield . bigger the root bigger the fruit. and after 60 days vegging shes about 3ft by 3ft. but im using 1200w one just 1. I was told that the co2 bags cover 4ft by 4ft of space I was wondering other peoples opinions on them. ive noticed a slighter healthier green look but idk if im just high.

Since i introduced co2 and sealed up the tent and runing high temps arround 28-30C i noticed that the leaves did not drop due to heat or show any sign of heat stress and i also noticed a better growing of new branches at the point i topped the palnts and also had HUGE fan leaves 30cm wide was the biggest one :D.... And what about you? looking on those last 2 pics how do bud developing look like keepin in mind my whole setup :) I'd like to see some pics of other growers flowering mataro blue :)

And I agree The bigger the root sistem the bigger the yeld !

My friend....your grow looks great. You are much like I was when I first started out....over-analyzing everything. If you're like me, you've been spending more time in your grow room than anywhere else....just watching your plants. Time slows to a halt when you do that. It also makes you want to do something....ANYTHING...to help your plants along.

My best advice is to sit back and enjoy the grow. Somehow the plants will grow without your help other than making sure it's getting enough light and food.

If you've read my grow journals, I shared how I fed my plants on many occasions.

You got me perfectly :) But before i started growing i spent 2 months reading blogs , diaries , all grow techniques and much more about growing weed.. I spend alot of time in my growroom most part of the day i'd say :D And yes i put my soul and hearth in every idea/dream/wish i try to realize :) True grower hearth!

and if you are unsure about what feed to go with I use the G.O. box from general organics it has the instructions from veg-late flower an is under 40 bux will do about 3 or 4 plants an only use the nutes every other water

first time growers dream come true for nuts and I've yet to burn them. I do half feeds every water but my plant drink like a gal an a half a day so I usually do 2 gal every other day then every 3 days alternating. but im in 32gal idk how many ppl use this big but at only a foot tall my stem was thicker than a 50cent piece
