i never thought of asking here but heres my problem... the biggest issue I have when growing outdoors is racoons always digging up my plants as soon as I plant them,, its like they think I buried food,, ive used golden malrin to posion them but it gets expensive cause a can of it costs 13$,,, does anyone else have this problem or know a way to prevent it? I also tried that racoon repellent spray which doesnt work,, and marshmellows in a live trap but its a hastle having to reset it every day and alot of times they grab the bait from the back without entering the cage,, and have also tried covering the plants with chicken wire but the bastard just dig it up too... I just planted 12 seedlings and all but 3 have been dug up already..........

I bet they're digging because of the smell of your fertilizer.

Do you use organic nutes? Maybe with composted fish, or fish emulsion? If so, that's your problem right there!

Here in Louisiana we kill them and eat them. If you kill one after you clean him and eat him put the guts and fur near your grow. Coons are super smart, when they see that one of their buddies died Fukin with your shit they won't wanna take a chance with their own life. I have used this method to keep them from knocking over trash cans.
If you need a recipe to cook them let me know, I gotcha

I doubt that stuff will kill a coon - that's fly bait.
it works great just mix it with some cola in a bowl the next morning they will be a few foot dead from the bowl,, works on possums too, I never believed it would work either till I had two kills in one night

If stealth isn't a major issue try a radio.when I was a kid neighbor farmer put a small radio in his wife's garden to keep out critters.doesnt have to be loud, and it works!
