determining sex

ya most strains you have to be in flowering to determine the sex, but some strains are different. many people also do whats called pre-flowering, its when you go to 12/12 just to determine the sex then kill the males and revert back to veg. good luck man!

This is not right...preflowering refers to the preflowers that grow in the vegetative state signaling the plant (sex) is ready to be flowered .......this along with alternating phyllotaxy

People should just wait for the preflowers to show instead of going to 12/12 and going back.......takes one hell of a lot longer and is pointless.......

yes! yes! yes! i haven't seen anyone mention this in a very long time - it seems that nobody is patient enough to let nature take its course...even though it works better. :)

just let them do their thing. sometimes you might become too anxious, but in all my trial and error (trust i have experienced alot of fookn error) you gotta have patience.

the boys usually start showing me their balls early on. i have had to take out 3 boys over the past weeks  bums me out, but i am being left with 1 gorgeous gal in all her glory. some strains seem to flash me their balls before others have. i usually pull them out of the garden asap. it can be tricky depending on the plant. i will leave those seperate from my ladies give them a few days and see if i spot them. if so, away with them.

good luck!

*by the way, i just posted this so i can have an excuse to type the word balls.

im planning on transplanting all my males to the wild, so they can roam free! certainly dont want there balls to be getting anywhere near my girls parts though... cant afford to pay more child-plant support :(
