Advice for SCROG height?

Two questions:

1) What is the right height for a SCROG?
2) Does that height differ for indica or a sativa plant?

A sativa dominant strain will most likely require a taller scrog, however it is hard to judge with a strain you are unfamiliar with. The initial stretch during flowering will decide how tall the scrog will need to be, adjustable versions are best. I currently use a tomato cage style but when I used the scrog i used bamboo stakes in the soil along with screens made from 4 portions of bamboo and zip ties. This allows for height adjustment in the event of an unexpected stretch.

BTW.. bud brothers scrog is probably the best I've ever seen

Thank you Chronnoisseur! If you have a low plant limit,(like me 3 flowering here in Colorado) Scrog is amazing. This is under a 450 watt hps. Randy I meant to answer your question about Sativa vs Indica I believe that it doesn't matter how high you put the screen for Sativa vs. Indica though when growing Sativa in scrog I would recommend flipping to 12/12 when the screen is 55-60% full where you should wait until 70% at least for an Indica. The extra stretch Sativas give in that first two weeks will fill in the rest of the screen. DSC07235.JPG
