Lol get this...He's passed out on the couch right now. We all got all shittered last night. It's a no go for today... I am told lift off will be tomorrow.....so now I have 2, 200lb buttholes living in my front-room, eating all my food, dragging tracks all over my freshly cleaned carpets, and feeding people-food to my baby puppy. She's gonna get fat, and it's gonna be my fault. Ugh...

There haven't been any "great" civilizations yet. Humanity is still in its infancy as far as how to interact with itself. Greatness is not built on coercion, but parasitism relies upon it.

"Great" is subjective, and based on the observer. I think there has been civilizations in history that have provided "great" art, philosophy, literature, leaders, thriving economies, scientific breakthroughs, etc.
A parasite is a creature that benefits from another without mutual gratification. Slaves were given food and shelter in exchange for their work. The point I was making is most of the population today are living paycheck to paycheck to pay for their food and shelter.
As for humanity in its infancy, at the rate the world is developing, I would calculate humans have been on the earth for a lot longer than we have a future to look forward to. I would say we are nearer to the end of humanity, unless some serious changes happen.
What would make a civilization great in your eyes?
The vikings were free at any time to challenge their leader. You would seem to appreciate this. But they didn't really help to accelerate the development of mankind. Instead they brought Europe crashing back down right when it seemed she might have been putting back together the pieces shattered by the fall of Rome.

Isn't that the place where we give military officers from other nations some training here in The States?
These other nations are from central and south America.
I don't see what this has to do with the Monroe Doctrine, which pretty much states that we will act on any European nation that tries to expand their empire here in the new world.
