Why aren't my clones growing

how long do you wait after you cut clones to do this I mean mine have roots from being taken from cloner there just not doing shit but maintaining I guess.
I dont have a set time, i just kind of get to a point where im like "fuck it, takin to long" and just do it. And yeah, i have had em have roots from the cloner, then do nothing after transplant. Then thrown em in darkness and BAM, they statt takin off!

Out of curiosity, what could it hurt to even experiment with just one? Throw it in darkness, and judge for yourself.

Good luck

I know the plants rely heavily on foliar feeding at that stage as the roots are still forming so plenty of light ( with a low power light not giving out many lumens as close as possible!) and mainly misting while keeping the roots warm. Go very light on watering the actual roots untill you have good root structure. Soon as the roots reach the bottom of the rock wool I transplant into clear party cups. I can see the root structure for myself then and judge when to transplant into the grow pots. Thats how i do it anyway, nice and simple! haha

looking at them roots it looks like they cant get through. they dont usualy grown down without also penetrating the wool on the way. Is the wool to compact? It looks as if the roots are being forced to overcrowd themselves.

It does seem compact but also they were started in the mister and then put in the rock wool .so once I seen roots come thru rock wool Id plant in soil. but after 3 4 days in rock wool this is where it's at

When I went to throw out garbage, there were the rapid rooters, in the garbage bag, with roots every where!!! I grabbed em out and threw em in soil. Plants ended up being beautiful and very healthy.

Anyways, since then, when ever I have a clone stall out on me, I will throw them into complete darkness for 3-5 days, checking them once a day, and they always rebound and beguin to show life again. I do not know why, but it works.
I wouldnt flame ya buddy. Thats very interesting stuff !

No dome just 18/6 tent in soil after how many days
I have only been giving them 3-5 days in dome. Humidity levels in my grow areas have been high lately. So it seems to be just fine. I use cfls to veg during warm months, 400 watt mh in winter. Flower with led.

Im running Aphrodite, Grapefruit, Tahoe OG, Ladyburn, Fast Neville's Haze, and a couple bag seeds from some mids that smelled like chocolate. Keep in mind I have found some sativas dont clone so easy.

I think we need a thread on cloning. We can call it The definitive guide to cloning. So many guys have problems and really, it's a very simple process.
I tried the soil method, got frustrated and started using an aerocloner. Now I won't do it any other way. I don't have ime to fuss over what should be a simple project. Ok I'm done. Thanks for reading:)

yeah somebody should really go thru and do the Do's and dont's because there so many ways to fuck up shit trying to make everything perfect like putting a heater in resistor I did that shit and my temps got too high and for two weeks in. A aero no roots I really think my humidity mat is to fucking powerful now it dries out my area to fast and too much humidity

I don't complicate things. I use an aerocloner, no heat mat, no humidity dome. I just make sure the water is clean, the temps are cool and the manifold is clear. No root gel, its not needed. The misters can't get clogged. And that's it. Ezpz. Works every time.

oh yeah and my clones are supposed to be the real sour d clone I got from a friend who has been growing for years and knows a dispenser so hopefully it is the real sour

yeah that's what I mean there so much shit out that supposed to be better for you and it can fuck you're shit up in the same hand someone need to do a 2014 cloning edition becus there's to much bullshit you don't need killing clones

don't put cuttings too close to light, it seems that only when the lower leaves start turning yellow because of starvation of basic needs does the cutting generate roots. Some strains almost refuse to be cloned while others require only the basics. don't skimp on the clonex gel...it has a long shelf life and if you use a thin pill container (aluminum ones they sell on ebay for .99) the stuff is good for over a hundred cuttings. 100 humidity will speed things up. I found that coco (burpee from homedepot at 2.67 a brick seems to work best) works better than the plugs. 85F for the Sativa, 80F for Indica.
