Cali Orange Bud Help!!

I don't know what's going on. The leaves are curling up and generally not looking healthy.
Here's the set up:

7th week of 12/12
400w HPS
Temp 72 to 75 f
Fox Farm Ocean Forest
Fox Farm Tiger Bloom/Big Bloom Today started Bud Candy
Watering once a day. I have noticed that the water comes out into the pan quickly.
Fan 24/7
Any thoughts? Thanks for replies!

I would think you might be over watering her wait for her to dry out a little less is more In soil

top of soil should be dry put your finger tip in 1 to 2 inchs should be dry

Also you say your on week 7 of 12 and 12

What stain is it should be a lot more bud for week 7

with a 400 watt

how far away is the light from the top of your plant

Shes nice and green just might be giving her a little to much love

The strain is California Orange Bud and the light is about 4 inches from the top. My first grow was blackberry and the buds were much bigger at 7 weeks. Thanks for the advice!

You shouldn't grow with an HPS from seed to harvest. As you can see, it causes node space to spread out wayyy too much! The leaf curl is probably due to over watering.

I used an MH for vegetation. That's why i was confused when this happened.

Hmm.. Odd. Maybe you just got a super stretchy sativa pheno then?

definitely a sativa. drooping leaves could be from over-watering. you shouldn't water "once a day", or any such arbitrary schedule. you should wait until it's ready for more water. mary jane likes to dry out between waterings, gets oxygen to the roots and prevents fungus, root rot, etc.

HPS all the way is FINE, and doesn't make node spacing that drastically different than MH, a little bit different, but marginally. I know many growers who use them all the way, just like some old school guys and certain sativas like to use MH all the way.

The stretch is from switching them to a 12/12 photo period more than from blue to red light.

I agree with overwatering, let them dry out! Sativas are very drought resistant, in fact many of them thrive when planted in larger containers and given a proper wet/dry cycle.

They should perk up once the soil dries out and they get to breath a little. Once they perk up I wouldn't water them until they tell you they need it. First sign that they start droping give them water. However long that took, subtract 6-12 hours and that should be how often you water.

Research different training techniques like topping, LST, and supercropping/bending. That's should be your next goal, all those branches could have all been top colas if you simply started to tie down the plant early in veg. Once I discovered LST I couldn't believe I wasn't always doing it. It also gives you much shorter plants that are easier to mange and usually yeild a lot more then un-trained plants, just a suggestion now that you have a couple grows under your belt

So i stopped watering and let her dry out. She still looks terrible. The leaves are now crunchy. I think she's toast. Is it possible to salvage the buds that are there and will the product be any good? Thanks!

yea you can smoke the bud, you can smoke the whole damn plant! if the leaves are crunchy give her some water lol. it could be a ph problem. some closer pics would be nice.

If the leaves are crunchy she might be to close to the light just let her finish off the and you can still smoke the weed when you pull her but if you can upload some photos a little closer plus one from the top of the plant thanks mate
