thats what thought.. i guess i could make an undercurrent with 5gal net pot lids to make it easy for the transfer, but that seems terribly inefficient as far as use of space

You're using 600's right? If you flower at 3ft, what will you do with 6ft plants? You'll have lots of good hash material, but you'll be spending a lot extra in electricity, water, nutrient, and time for little pay out. Plus the longer the plants are there, the more opportunity for mildew and insects to take hold.

If you're going to top or trellis, then that is a different story.

you are probably right, as always. but.. what would i do with 6ft plants?! Harvest the fuck out of them mang! lol. ive always liked the idea of bushes and trees v little plants. go big or go home, ya know?
i havent topped yet but i should. my dilemma is that i have a huge amount of space and i don't want to waste any of it. i want to completely fill my light footprint,
-I had been planning on letting them do their thing and then lollipopping before flower since i have 600's.
-but NitroHarley gets magnificent yields and he doesnt top or lollipop, so i was also considering letting them go without any cutting or trimming. (he uses 1k though)

i need this yield to be stellar.

hey SFguy, thanks for checking out my grow!
you are also right, and yes you are reading that correctly, lol. I should have been at this point a month ago.
Thanks for the kind words dude. accumulating all the equipment, setting up the room, finding the right spot for it all to go down... its been a process, let me tell ya.

I havnt found the balls to make the switch although when i setup this current grow would have been the time to do it man.. lol i had an empty room doing the build out and everything new electrical, basically lol check out my thread if you get a chance link is in my signature, im just comfortable running soil, less variables for me to fuck up somewhere. im subbd over here man keeping an eye on it. hope it gets dialed soon

you won't need as much space for your veg area, especially since the plants won't be that big. you can put the buckets a lot closer together for veg, any use a weaker light source. even some t5's or a couple of 250 or 400 watt bulbs.

imagine if you took clones. 2 weeks max.
then vegged them for as long as you flowered. 6-7 weeks (depending on strain).

you will end up with a very perpetual schedule.

also, are you going to LST or scrog at all? the girls are getting huge and the buds are not going to support themselves.

I topped my two largest, and will flip to 12/12 at the end of the week.

@maxwell - I keep fans on them at all times, on a high setting, so they get pretty thick stems
