Excellent, thanks for getting this started.
Comparing the "Chameleon Grow Systems " plasma and the "Rocket Plasma" from what I have been able to see and read online (no 1st hand experience w/ either), as far as using one lamp through out the entire cannabis grow if the "Rocket Plasma" truly puts out the spectrum the company says it does (which I have no reason to not believe). Then the "Rocket Plasma" looks more promising in my opinion. Hell, I could tie 4 Kessil Leds to the "Rocket Plasma" if I wanted to match the "Chameleon Grow System".
One could argue that the "Rocket Plasma" PAR bulb only lasts 9 months but. How many HID bulbs does the typical HID grower usually replace in the same amount of time to get a similar spectrum? What is the amount of electricity you run through just to power and cool a HID setup to get that similar spectrum? In my opinion a 9 month $100 bulb life is a moot point when you look at the benefits from it versus using a HID setup to get similar spectrum results. Even "Gavita" who uses the same technology and bulbs that "Chameleon Grow Systems" does, acknowledges that their plasma lamps are best used to supplement an HPS when it comes to flowering.
"The 41.02 emitter is specifically developed to provide high quality light, close to sunlight. This full spectrum is in particular suited for vegetative phase and for example mother plants. It can also be used together with HPS for the generative phaze.
The 41.01 emitter has less red and increased color spectrum where the HPS spectrum stops. Because HPS is more efficient in producing red light this is the best combination for the generative phase, but is is also suitable for a short vegetative cycle".
