Simple, Right? Or No?

Okay so I've been reading about the 36 hour dark period before starting the 12/12 cycle, and supposedly how it speeds up the sexing process. Anyways, I started the 12/12 cycle about two weeks ago, and still not seeing any signs of sex. I'm wondering if I could throw them into the 36 hours of dark now that I've already switched to 12/12? Would that hurt anything? It's never taken this long to see signs of sex, so, should I just wait it out and see, or throw them in the dark period and see how it turns out? I'm anxious! Help me out?:joint:

many grower use the 36 hour dark period after veg for quicker sexing. and in general it works. that said, i would not give the plants a 36 hour dark period after ive already started 12/12. it could stress the plant into a hermi, or it may not.. but i wouldnt do it. just wait it out

I do the 36 hour dark period myself. Some do 24, some 36, some even 96!!!

But none the less its too late to do it. You run too many risks of hermie.

na dont put em into 36hr dark now. I rekon it will really stress out the plants and all your hard work would have gone down the drain. Just wait another couple of days and you'll see.

I find that whenever my plants take longer than 2 weeks to show sex they become female, so be patient to reap the rewards.

I never use 36 hour dark period..

The good news is.. it usually take females longer to flower than males.. After 14 days with no sex.. ,means you probably have females..

cheers

Thank you for your sound advice. I believe you were the one who put the 36 hours of darkness thing into my head! With the responses I've gotten, though, it sounds like the time I've waited is a good thing, not a bad thing. Thanks!! :peace::joint:

HE is already in flower, and has been for two weeks.

Bad advice, especially it shows you dont read the entire question.

Err yes ok, sorry about that!
