It is possible, but I have never had my plants bleech like these Autos. Cooltube, 400 HPS about 12" above, and man I actually had a couple white, albino lookin buds at harvest.

Either way, thats why im gonna run em outside, plant em far enouvh apart and hope for the best.

(Fucked up thing was I never once saw a pollen sack, and I check my girls daily)

ya it really is if you have everything right and the genetics to go with it i figure 3/4 oz - 1.25 oz for a gal of medium if ive grown them before
around 1/4 lb from a 3.5 gal and it has become pretty common for me to do so
its funny i used to be happy when i would top them to get more then my normal 1 oz pull >.< and it was a 1/4 oz more at most

Yeah I thought so myself, and it wasnt just one strain, I was all 3-4 i was running. I kept trying everything, finally dimming my HPS to 75% and moving it up another 6". After that, all new growth was fine. But at that point the damage was done and the bitches were stressed

I've never had that sort of issue with my hps.. If I wanted to I could rest my hand on my cool tube without getting burned.

Im not talking heat stress, im talkin light toxicity. It causes leaves and buds to bleech and turn white.

bulb type ? is it fresh ?
i run a 2000k lumatek high par HPS and ive had bleaching but more or less if they are within a few inches of the bulb

I usually won't lower my light below 12" above the top.. Right now I have it probably around 3 feet above, but its still a seedling and my ducting won't allow it to go down that far anyway.
Here is the specs of my bulb:

two of these bulbs cost as much damn near as my apollo cool tube, ballast, wing hangers and timer but i swear by them could notice a diff between it and my apollo bulb in just a few days
