Whats wrong with my plants?

Hi,

I have four plants with similar issues. They are in soil, and are getting biobizz grow/bloom, soil is biobizz lightmix.

Have had the issue for a while, have tried to increase neuts, but dosen't seen to help. I dont believe i'm overfeeding, because they had similar issues before i first started with giving them neuts.
At the moment they are one week into blooming. Also the lower leaves are very yellow, and i have had to remove several.

sorry bro but your overfeeding her. Obvisously the soil had enough nutes in it before you fed. Since you just went into bloom they will eat up the extra nutes during stretch phase.

If your only using grow and bloom your missing the cal-mag.
Im not sure how high everyone is today but your def not overfeeding her.

This is the major flaw with this site. You got guys giving BAD advise over and over. That is not calmag def. Its overfed but believe what you want...not saying you shouldnt use calmag but if you cant tell from the leaf damage whats going on then ok.

If you don't have any i've used botanicare cal-mag and right now I am using General hydroponics general organics CaMa+.
Can't tell you which one is better but its your choice, even if you want to get a more expensive one.. idk biobizz but i know a CaMa deficiency.

I dont need to reference some pictures i know what im looking at. I got 15 years experience to back up my claims! You obviously need to google info to have a foot on what your talking about but those google pics theres alot more going on then just calmag def in 99% of them. Not here to argue though.

If those plants are about 5 weeks old, in soil, what you are seeing is the beginning of a Mag def. If you are not using a supplement like Calmag now, start immediately, and use it forever at the bloom stage. Easy fix. Peace

I see how you could think calmag def but im telling you by looking at more then just the spots that hes overfed them causing a slight lockout. Now whats locked out is probably calmag but wasnt caused by not giving calmag.

To the OP can you post a full plant picture and what is your water source(well,city,RO)?

I live in the city, water pH is around 7.0.

Overfeeding doesn't cause lock out, it causes burn. Misbalanced PH will cause lock out. More than likely it's cal-mag.

Misformed and or bent leaves, random necrosis, clawing of leaves... ALL classic symptoms of Cal-Mag... If they were being over fed, the plants would be MUCH darker green, the leaf tips would be burnt and curled up.

Ok so my local neut store only has Cal in store, but i have some esprom salt laying around. Would a teaspoon of this in the next feeding cover my mag need?

I do see some calmag def with the tips of leaves pointing up almost pre canoeing in there and some twisted mutated leafs that i couldnt see with yesterdays pictures. The pics from yesterday looked dark green with burnt tips but todays pics with mutated leafs and pointed up leave tips are clear.

Overfeeding can cause lockout not just nute burn. If you feed more then plant can absorb creating a buildup the plant will lockout from the PH swing from the unused nutes, they coincide together.

I'm using BioBizz nutes and still in veg for what it's worth, I do not think you can easily overfeed with these (or any) organic nutes. This is based on my experience of feeding my plants with BioBizz and my limited understanding that the living organisms (microbes and fungi etc) are responsible for breaking down the nutes for the plant.

Bio-grow
Bio-heaven (until I ran out)
Fish-mix (once in a while, left over foliar spray added water or if leaf color dictates need for N) and also
Nitrozyme (alternating foliar and feed every few weeks)
Protekt
Hyrgozyme(just switched off root juice) (silicon)
Well water pH 6.8-7.1

I got 6 clones all different strains and started them in pro-mix in 3-5 gal smartpots; watering daily with recommended mix of BG, BH and RJ
Did not have a pH meter or EC/ppm meter for first 4 weeks
I water with my nute solution 5-6 time per week at least half the time I water
I bought a truncheon and discovered that I was mixing at 800-1000 ppm
Even more concerning was the runoff being so high ppm it was off the meter, when cut 50/50 w/ water it varied from 1400ppm to still off the meter.
I flushed them through with water until it ran out at 600ppm and then ran a new solution at 600ppm for a week.
I upped to 800 ppm plus fish mix foliar spray after one week, leaves to light green on new growth.

None of this was done in a particularly scientific manner, just some info I hope you find useful.
