Thinking about ordering these cup winners from Attitude

I posted here because most of what I had read about Barney's wasn't too recent, as in last year and before.

Just a side note, but if only the newbies are growing Barney's, then couldn't the bad feedback on the seeds be from inexperience and lack of knowledge? I know you have to get lucky to get a good phenotype but most of the bad reports I see are from people only growing one seed, I'm not saying all reports.
no, because they spend more money on advertising and sinking cost in to getting the name of popular strains out there. Basic marketing, and I didn't mean any offense either, I bought into vanilla kush, waste of my fucking time and money. I find the less breeders spend on marketing and have a "cult" following generally are where I should put my money and time.

That's a good question, but it's an easy answer. If a variety of plants were run and they all sucked, then likely it was the grower. Barneys and GHS - as racer pointed out - are the perennial whipping boys on RIU. Coincidentally, there are no PRO - GHS or Barneys threads I'm aware of. The near universal disdain of those companies by growers far better than me is really all you need, I'd think. Either way....ya still never know unless you try. I'd just rather avoid proving naysayers right given the choice. Good luck.

What strains have you grown that you wish you kept around or currently have that are your favorite? I'm always looking for different options

Is tonic better than Royal Queen's med strains? I only started looking at this type yesterday and RQ claims 10% and 11% CBD but I doubt it.
BTW the strains are "Medical Mass" and "Euphoria"
not sure about those strains m8 as i'm not really into the high cbd stuff personally.. but i do know that when people talk about high cbd gear from seeds, cannatonic is usually at the top of most people's list..

To be honest I've grown only a handful of breeders. I've been thrilled with Bodhi gear and I had a very lovely lady from WOS (they get flack too, and to be honest I had germ issues with some of their beans). Now I'm still kicking Bodhi gear but I've expanded into Ace and about to pop some Sense, both new to me but overall great reports. Other "try" breeders on my list are Serious (I've smoked so much great Serious gear, almost all of it, amazing smoke), Cannabiogen, Gage Green, 303, Sensi, and Sin City has caught my eye. Just like my opinions man... I'm sure others that are participating in this thread already have some great recommendations too. What are you looking for is a better question.

Haven't grown from any of those breeders. I'm looking for a good variety of bud, good up high, good body, hybrid, full spectrum of flavors, fruity, earthy, skunky, diesel. I'm growing a Sweet Seeds Green Poison and a Nirvana White widow. The green poison yields around 650 grams per meter squared, and I like the look of that yield compared to the 400 g per meter squared that the WW is said to have. The WW has way more frost though, which I like, so anything around 20% or higher THC would be awesome. I would rather smoke less than more. I might have a weed hoarding problem in the future.

Barney's...... What can I say? I grow his critical kush in a perpetual setup. Out of 15 beans I found 2 keepers. One OG pheno and another one I call the jasmine pheno. Both are great smoke and excellent yielders, BUT it took 15 to get something worth keeping around. Don't get it twisted, the ones I kept are some FIRE but i feel you would do better not ordering any of Barney's gear. I simply got lucky, if you call 2 outta 15 lucky. What's that? 15% good? 85% shit. I also grow serious seeds ak-47, that is something I will recommend. Tried and true.

Good luck my friend,
Polo

Thanks for replying, this is the kind of feedback I was looking for. I can't germ that many, wouldn't have space for it. Is the AK-47 your personal favorite?
I have grown a White Siberian (AK47 X WW i think) and I really liked that plant, unfortunately couldn't keep a clone of it going from 2 years back.

I haven't read a marijuana related magazine, seems like the adverts aren't reliable though. Have you tried Rare Dankness OG Ghost Train Haze?

Your welcome.

I can't say that the ak is my fave but I do luv it and do recommend it. My personal favorite is TOH ( Tijuana original haze) but I will not recommend it cause growing it is not for any newbie. It flowers for 15 weeks and is super picky about everythang.

It is so special that I don't even sell it. It's one of those "just for me" things. I grow one clone at a time off in the corner of the flower room.

Ah shit forgot about Mandala, wanna try his gear too. Can't go wrong with Ak47. Had it from different growers over the years, always was great.
