Are these thc crystals?

Im 5 days into my first ever grow and its looking great so far. I was just wondering if thc crystals form this early i always thought they started at flowering. I also have a grow journal on this here if anybody wants to see it. http://rollitup.org/t/my-first-grow.830035/

no. there is no such thing as a 'thc crystal'. those are trichomes.

trichomes are the resin glands of the plant, that contain the psychotropic chemicals that are desired in the plant. thc is one of those chemicals, and there are several different types of thc molecules within the trichomes.

So it does create trichomes before flowering?

absolutely. they may be miniscule, but they are there.
