I'm just curious as to what everyone's results are with harvest times....

How experienced are you in growing as well ?

Any specific companies usually right on ? Are some always off ?

I would hope they are usually right on...If not that's false marketing.

I use the breeders opinion as just a general guideline. The real-time will be wildly different from grower to grower. No 2 environments are going to be the same.
The only thing I know for sure is if I pick a pure Indica, its going to finish faster. And if I pick a pure Sativa its going to run a long ass time, MOST of the time.
All the rest is hard to judge.

Seed companies let you know the earliest possible harvest time with the quickest finishing phenotype they've found.

I've found a few companies to be near their time but again as Cob has stated environmental factors, feeding regime, plant health all play a roll in finishing.

Usually those strains with very few phenotypes are the most on point as far as finishing time goes.

But then you've also got to factor in growers time for harvesting based on personal preference for trichome development.

I look at breeders flowering times and pretty much always assume an extra 2 weeks to what's actually stated and then if it finishes faster its a bonus.

I also wonder when breeders consider the start of flowering. Is it from 12/12 or from the first signs of bud growth?

I know Greenhouse (stupid) Seed Company is ALWAYS off (lying/retarded) esp. with their entire haze line. Even the videos of grows from start to finish seem.. fishy.

Holyfield_Evander_body2_Oquendo_HoganPhotos1_lx.jpg Yeah numbers on paper don't mean shit really depends on your grow style and how you groomed your plant. Expect 80 -85 days if you want the real deal holyfield

Just had two more strains go way past their due dates,,,

Maybe its flowering with cfls ?

Strains were female seeds c99 and royal queen power flower....power flower was worse, and still wasn't ripe when I harvested weeks past the due date.

You must realize that seeds are all different, and different phenotypes of the same plant will take different times to flower, example: I grew a money maker plant from green house seeds, on their website it reads as "8-9 weeks flowering time, with production up to 1Kg per plant depending on the final size. Support for the branches is recommended." but at 6 weeks my plant is nearly ready, for a commercial grower it could be harvested in 7 weeks with the phenotype I got, however there is a sativa dom phenotype that can take 10-11 weeks. So it all depends on which genetic trait the seed you popped inherits.

And if you grow in hydroponics or power feed your plant in a hydroponic substitute like coco-coir your flowering times can be faster, also non - optimial conditions can increase flower times . I.E. temps / humidity / amount of light / training methods.

depends on indoor/outdoor.....outdoor depends on where you are.....all my outdoor grows take about 6 months.I need every day of sun from april till sept...no matter what the seed company says.
