Ok ... so can anyone answer why outdoors can have light leak, full moon, and not indoors?

I have guesses but am looking for experience or hard science to be the answer. Now I have to go look for the next full moon and conduct some experimenting. lol

Lmao idk why but I'm picturing someone out in a full moon searching for plant balls  and it brings me mucho humor

Hey Hogbud ... Let's think about this for a minute ... How would you design an experiment to validate this? I am curious ... And thinking about this now ... But back to terpenes and cbds ... Which would you say you have the most experience working with (i cannot really think of another way to word it) ... Or have you personally been involved with the studying of those two (terpenes and cbds)?
I have researched both CBD's and terpenes, I have so many books LOL and yes I read non MJ books as well. I am breeding CBD's back in but don't pay as much attention to the terpenes. though I have found flavors and smells I like

Ok. That is where I am at now. Reading as much science as I can get my hands on. I like to read published articles by known scientists. That usually requires more homework on my end though.

yeppers, I like old books, from the 1800's and early 1900's I have collected several. I have one called Plant Alchemy, translated in the 80's original (German) sells for over $300
the translation sells for $187 but it is an awesome book

That is awesome. Old books are awesome! I have several from 1870 - 1945. Unrelated but my favorite old one is a text that Richard Feyman (a physicist) used to learn some math.

there are 3 pages of cannabis stuff at Archive.org and I get my THC/CBD stuff from Science.gov

Hell, not only moonlight, but headlights from vehicles, street lamps, lightning, and all manner of man made lights that can be persistent, or sporadic.

The "light leak = hermi" doesn't make sense considering all the plants in nature that have their light schedules interupted WITHOUT causing hermies.

It's not like farmers give two shits about headlights from traffic "spoiling" their crops.

This community is pretty dope...you never really can know everything from just reading books / guides, but getting the perspective of people from all spectrums of experience really helps fit all the pieces together. I'm a big advocate of "the power of the whole" rather than it's individual pieces, n this place has a lot of good 'pieces' tht make 1 helluva whole.

yeppers a lot of good folks here but just as many trolls unfortunately, I'm so used to no trolls at all that it is hard to be here again LOL
Yeah for sure, but any mass gathering of people online = massive quantity of trolls unfortunately..."Easy to spot, easy to ignore" is my take on forum trolls ;) Plus they can be fun too sometimes lol.

So you do something that I have been researching on and will begin with it this summer ... UV. .... Now I know that there are UVA UVB and UVC. You use UVB, why and how did you choose the amount of UVB to add? What lead you to even add UVB light in the first place? (Use can use the word amount to mean any unit which is easiest for you to explain in.)

Outdoor plants generally take much, much, much more abuse than indoor grown plants. Comparing the two is apples and oranges.

UVA is bad, we don't want it ! Lots of folks over the years have added UVB in various ways. It is know that MJ is most potent in the regions that have the highest amounts of UVB. though it is not exactly known why, it is assumed that the plant has developed a way to protect itself from these harmful rays, most believe it is THC that is used for this protection.

I chose the ATI true Actinic bulbs because they are designed to penetrate 3 feet of water. As a side note my GE 4100K bulbs are also listed in the top 10 aquarium bulbs used to grow plants under water. The alternative bulb I was considering was a Zoomed reptile bulb

From what I have read, adding UV light will increase trichome production as the trichomes have been shown to be how the plant protects it in those regions. From what I have read.

Kinda hard to measure that one also lol!

adding UVB does in fact make em more potent, I have grown with and without and have seen the difference much the same way I saw that T5's also make more potent bud

Never added UVB in any of my grows...well I sorta did...I just switched the bulbs out from HPS to MH as MH has a little more UVB than the former...but I never bought reptile bulbs or anything like that. What I want to know is...does UVB actually increase trich production or does it just make the triches you have more potent? So do you get more triches or just more THC enriched ones? Or both?
