Digital vacuum gauge suggestions

Hey everyone, hope you're having a good evening. I'm looking for feedback from anyone using a digital vacuum gauge on a degassing chamber rig.

Since boiling points and respectively chamber temp settings are directly related to vacuum pressure it seems really important to have an accurate read on your chamber pressure. So much subject matter relates to specific hg measurements to the tenth or hundredth.

how are people getting these readings from an analog gauge? (Accurately)

I seems like you should have a digital gauge. Anyone out there have experience or feedback?

I just bought a used micron gauge on ebay, a JB DV-40. But, the main thing is the range, according to what you will do with it.

Mine is for <= 20,000 microns or 20 Torr. So, for what I do, it mostly serves.

However, to vacuum boil and recover a transport solvent like ethanol, I need to be at 52 Torr.
Woops. That is about 1 psi or 52,000 microns. Much lower than that the water that was picked up in the solvent will also boil at room temp.

Depends on how close you want to crowd things. If you run at the edge, you must get an accurate gauge to win.

I recommend to folks to not exceed about ~-29.5", but if you look at the boiling point of THC, you can see that it starts getting really dicey closer to 29.89" Hg.
