flyhi,

I meant environment as in heat, humidity etc.. attracting different pests more than others. Ive noticed here the pest cycle a lot more. I am hydro so I do prefer 0 pests. Soil indoors was not cool for me... lol

Wellllll, idk what side to choose with but thanks for all the replies guys!! My veg area is very clean in a bedroom in two tents. I sprayed the plants as a precaution with plant cleanse, then vital rinse....that was a week ago. I see none of these bugs on the foliage or stalk, just prancing around the top layer of soil like lil assholes. I watered them and top dressed with gnat nix (it was a free sample and all i had) then sprayed down that with "nospidermite" spray

what a fortunate sob. end up with a good mite... LOL
I used to get predatory mites for free in my worm bin. That's dialed in so they are not there anymore. They die off when their food source is gone. They eat undecomposed organic material and pests

fyi rosemary or rosemary oil will kill thrips.

Dude, google Hypoaspis Miles, that is what you have, they're good. They sell them as a beneficial predator bug.
That would be an awesome thing, if i didnt kill them with what i just sprayed lol....I hope your right tho. I honestly never seen them until i used the supersoil so it may make sense...i have no leave damage either

green avengers soil mix was discontinued. The quality went down due to outsourcing and too many complaints. Sub and dioxide had a falling out because of it. Dioxide was the one selling it.

Does anyone know what this is?...root aphid, mite, something else.

They are quick little buggers. I think I can see 6 legs. Sorry for the the bad pics, even in person it's hard to get them in a loupe long enough to. Seem to hang just under the soil surface. Not on the plant stem, leaves, anything above ground, just the soil.

I'm struggling to identify/hoping it's not root aphids. Any help is appreciated.

Those are definitely Predator Mites i found some in my soil, did a huge research project on them, and i will never forget what they look like. Rule #1 They are way bigger than spider mites and Rule #2 spider mites don't roam around on the soil like that, spider mites are way to small to see move around in your soil.
