Hey guys, what's up, sorry I never posted stuff at the end. I actually got nutrient deficiency of some kind shortly after these above pics- probably around week 6 of flower.

I ended up harvesting early, they probably could have used a solid 3 weeks more until harvest. I got just under an ounce dry off of the two plants combined. Nothing to brag about, but it was a great first experience. The bud smokes really well, is a very uplifting high, but doesn't last long- again- harvested very early and they were definitely not up to anything close to their potency.

My next grow, in the fall/winter, will be all organic with my own soil mix watered with a basic organic compost tea. I am done with the fox farms nutes, after the first experience.... Just too unpredictable and it seems like during the flowering phase the plant needs more N than a lot of the nutes on the market can provide.

Gotta say I learned to make sure your soil has excellent drainage- the more perlite the better, and to make sure your soil has sustainable nutes in it, because dumping more and more into it every week or so makes it very difficult even with flushing, to know what the hell is happening to your roots.

With that said I had no problems with the xgs-190 at all. In fact I think it worked great- it's a very very strong light and needs to be kept a solid 20" above the plants for fear of bleaching or burning the leaves. I am extremely happy with it and am anxious to use it again for the next grow.

I have no idea about the RW personally, do your homework and check out other grows that use it.... But all in all, I can say that A51 makes excellent products and whichever you choose to go with you can trust that it will do what it says it can.

Ok, be safe ya'll.

Hey Bush - You did a SUPER NICE JOB with that Durban. I don't think D.Passion has the best cut- (try Sensi Seeds next time), but you sure did grow them well. Too bad ya had to harvest so early. I've been interested in the Durban for a LONG time now.. thank you very much for this report !!! - Happy Growing bro ~:leaf:

Hey thanks, that's nice of you to say! I just started some white widow and royal Madre seeds.

The Durban is a fantastic smoke but she's a stretchy sativa for sure.

Due to space limitations, I looked for something a little bushier and shorter.

Let me know if you give it a whirl- I'll offer any advice I have for u.

I am looking @ Sensi Seeds' - Durban closely. It's a bit expensive (imo) but I can just order "single seeds" and it will be feasible then. Sensis' Quality is Excellent in all aspects (ime) and I was very happy with their Super Skunk which practically exploded with buds even under just 65w of CFL ! I will have to plan a Durban grow since I have height restrictions, so I will prolly plant late in the season to avoid 7' tall plants by fall. Thanks again for the input, can you describe the smoke / high in detail? Been wanting to try this strain for a good while now...:bigjoint:

Sweet, bud, sounds like yer going to go outdoors with her?

You'll love the smoke, that's for sure. 100% sativa and that's a wonderful thing, IMO. It tastes a bit licorice-like or anisey I guess you could say. Very energetic high, very little chance for couch lock. It's a little mental, at least it was for me, but I prefer that over being brain dead. A little goes a long way because it's crazy strong- a full bowl and I'd be doing house chores for a few hours. :) Burns clean, not tarry or sticky. Buds are pretty loose but still burn and make thick smoke.

I had really good germination rates with mine too, they were thriving from real early on, and there's not a lot of special treatment she needs.

Hey man sorry to get back to you so late. Yeah the xgs-190 is a great light. I don't have any hps experience to compare it to, though. It worked great for me- and it was my first grow ever, so it can only get better I feel. No problems ever with the light- a51 makes very good equipment....and it comes with a lifetime warranty I think. Veg time seemed a bit slow, but I think I was tinkering with it too much- just get it high up (like 30") above your colas and resist the pressure to lower it too much. It's a crazy strong light, so there's always the risk of having it too close.

If you get one, let me know how the grow goes, I'd love to check it out.
