Riddle me this......My ph meter in my rez will give the weirdest reading fluctuating from 3.52 to 4.23 and a bunch of other low readings but when I take a sample of liquid from the tube on the side of the bucket it gives a steady reading of 5.47. I have 3 5 gal buckets one being the rez. I have distilled water with gh flora series for nutes ppm was like 861. any ideas why this is? I calibrated the meter and it still did the same thing. Thanks for any help!

what model ph meter u using?
I have a HM digital 200 or something like that I bought and paid a bit for thinking it would be reliable but was shit. It has an auto temp compensation so dunno if that causes the ph to fluctuate so much but it gave me different readings all the time with massive variances, funny thing was it was always spot on with calibration fluids?? Ended up buying a cheapo Hanna meter and that always gives consistent readings.

It's an atc meter and only did it if I test it from inside the bucket not when I take a sample from the hose on the side.....so I'm stumped

Try turning your air pump off first and see if it makes a difference.
Air Pump? Am I suppose to have one?.......lol....yeah I turned it off before and did same thing. Like I said I'm stumped. Been taking samples from the tube to a glass to test and works fine. Soooooo your guess is good as mine...

Get a Milwaukee sm802, I've had mine for 5-6yrs, and rarely ever check calibration on it. I did it two weeks ago for the first time in 8-10 months and pH was .1 off and ppm was off by 20. Plus quick readings.
