What to do with a hermie

Hey everybody. im on my first grow and i have 2 female plants a one hermie. my question is what should i do with the hermie. i would prefer to be sinsimella but i would hate to throw out the herm. and i tried cutting off all his nuts but there are just too many and my grow area does not allow me to divide it in two areas. my other question is if i were to pollinate a female with the hermie wouldn't that give me feminized seeds for future use? and if so how would i got about doing that? Cracking open one of the pollen sacks, scraping the pollen with a knife and applying to some of the female flowers? thanks in advance for your help

you could let it grow and make hash from all of it, let it grow and collect the seeds, let it grow and smoke it and collect some seeds, or trash it.

to make seeds ud have to put a male and a female together away from ur other plants. dont do anything, the male will release pollen on its own. once the plant is ready u can collect seeds from it.

just keep the male plant(s) away from the female(s) unless u want seeds. u are limited to making hash with males. females produce the buds which is what u want.

i understand what your talking about but i have a hermie. and i thought i read somewhere that when you pollinate a female wit a hermie you get the feminized seeds. if thats the case i wouldnt mind pollinating one of my girls cuz im guaranteed female seed. Right?

A better question that you rarely see on here is do you have a true hermie, or do you have a more common (due to stress) intersexed plant? I had one intersexed plant, yeilded 2 oz, and I only got 18 seeds from the entire thing. But those 18 seeds came from 9 male gorilla flowers. 2/1 ratio in my experiance.

Either way I cannot awnser if it will be feminized, but feminized seeds are more likley to go hermie! Good luck!

To get a fem seed you will have to rid it of all male traits, starting with a hermie would certainly diminish your results. Female seeds are hard to create.

If you want to experiment try taking some pollen and individually pollinate a couple buds on a female and let nature pollinate the other.
Just be sure to remove the one you pollinate.
If I remember correctly the one you pollinate will only have a couple seeds per bud and the natural will be filled with them. Just document how much pollen/bud and see what happens.

Untill you get a few more grows under your belt i'd say it's best to just scrap the hermie and keep the females. Breeding is NOT for begginers, nor do you want male pollen in your room, it's very messy and hard to remove. Just clone your already ladies and go from there. Once you understand most there is to know about growing, start researching about breeding, and have fun with it.

Good luck!:joint:

I just had a hermie with my current grow I always pull the whole plant out as soon as I notice its hermie. Would rather have less with good quality then more with lots of seeds.

So this one fooled me and Uunfortunatly seeded my entire grow.
Except some new growth on a few plants. Such a shame I was sooooo careful, but I let this one get by me because
I didn't know what "flowering" ment, I thought it ment "flowering" so I sat back & was so proud of my plants
full of Flower Buds, then something struck me..
The rest of the ladies didn't look like this none of them had any "buds" or flowerbuds... then it hit me!
OK go ahead say it, she's an idiot. Well how as I to know it didn't mean actual flowers??? :joint: Live Learn Grow:peace:

I've got the same problem with several plants. Didn't know WTF to do.... Heat stress induced for sure. I moved them out, along with the normal males. I'll harvest & plant the seeds one day & see what happens.

i think ive decided to keep the hermie and just keep him growing right now. during the dark time ill take him out my closet and give it some light to keep it in the veg state and then after my two fems finish ill let him flower all the way

yeah yours is super bad hermie. I so sorry your probably going to have a ton of seeds. Why are you going to continue to grow the hermie? Do you just want even more seeds. I would just cut it down.

Hell, cut it down,... fuck-off the seeds. Then spend a lump sum buying more seeds..???? I don't understand the logic. Get your seeds, you've lost nothing, but a lot to gain. Is something wrong with this semi-logic?
