So about a year ago I read a article on Yahoo about Mangoes getting you higher. So I tried it (eat the mangoes 1 hr before smoking) and I couldn't tell if what happened was placebo or not.
So I decided to give it another try. I got some Lemon Grass (which I read had "Myrcene" in it, which is what was in Mangoes that gets you higher) and I used that to make BHO, then I tried it with someone to make sure I didn't have a placebo effect. Both of us felt WAY higher than usual. We were already high, and we smoked it on a bowl of weed. So we were already really high, but it got us WAY higher.
So I read up on it, and what is happening is the Myrcene is just like the Terpines in the MJ. So it gets kind of mixed with it, and while in your blood stream it helps the THC cross the blood brain barrier (which is usually doesn't do very well) and when there is more THC in your brain your are higher.
I did a search today, and apparently more people are using lemon grass and mangoes to get higher.
Then there is Kava Kava. You can find this in pill form at any herbal supplement store.
1 hr before you smoke, take 500mg to 1g of "Kavalactones" which is not the plant material, but the actual alkaloid that goes in your brain (similar to THC). Check any bottle you get before you get it to make sure it says the Kavalactone content.
