NO way!

Drivers are about 30$ each and diodes are about 34$ each and i belive i can do with 8-10 so this is MAX around 640$!!!!
I found stuff on net but i dont know what model to order(spectrum) prices are same for differnt spectrum so i know aprox final prize and is not more than 700$ with taxses and postage!
Where did u find 1K$??? U know what u talking about?
Use octopart to search for things.......

Most recommend 400w's of quality Led to replace 600w maybe even a tad less. I would say 6-8 cobs, being driven at 1.4amps @37 volts.
Parts:
Meanwell LPC 60-1400 [$19]
Cree CXA 3070 bin AB, Z4, Z3 [3000k]
-AB's are the highest bin so far [+$40]
-Z4 was the best [$38]
-Z2 is just a step down from the Z4 [same price, maybe cheaper if you look around] [Still over 40% efficient]

For every 2 COBs, you will need 12 inches [30cm] of 5.88 in [14.7cm] wide heatsink and cool it with one 120mm DC Fan.

Or you can use the Arctic Alpine Plus II CPU coolers $10 [one for each cob]

Thermal adhesive
Kapton tape [optional]
solder
etc etc

Here is just about every CXA thread I can find, Supra the guru being the 1st link.....

FYI

Supra recommends 25w's for every 25x25cm

...and if you want penetration, LEDIL makes reflectors for
steeper beam angles.

Happy Reading :peace: :P

Captainmorgan did a great thread/grow using only Cree household bulbs. I have used them as well
Great for a small grow, but to costly to expand

Lumens are not a good characteristic of measuring light, but you would know, because "you know your shit".

This isn't about you, its about the fact that you sound way under educated about light in general.

HPS is fine, a known quantity. But you back up your assertions with no fact. This is why newbie's struggle. Just at least be truthful.

Fucks sake. Its almost comical how far off base you are.

If people were really smart, like you, they would get the sulfur plasma train in gear. :peace:

By the way there are plenty of LED's that surpass the lumens of an HPS, dude wrote it out up above.

Name one HPS that puts out 140+ lumens/watt?

be honest man u can have all the wattage and lumen output on paper as much as u want until u have done a few led grows ull see ur papper numbers will go straight out the window just like these people that do tickets for work and have no fucken idea what they are doing then u have people that have worked the job with no tickets that do 10x better job that u and me ;) im the guy that has done it ur the guy that thinks numbers on paper matter somthing lol
