I've been cleaning up after the light dep; folding tarps, rolling up straps and ropes. I still need to move the 20 gal smart pots, but it's nice to get that exterior hallway back. I'm going to need it by the end of the month. Plus no more 7am/7pm alarm and tarp pulling (:
I also knocked out the clean up of 4 plants undercarriage. It's amazing how many suckers branches develop. I could have made 10,000 or more Cherry pie clones with the jungle she had (far right in pic).

Tallest girls are over 7' Shortest is at 3'5". All the Blue Dream replacements are hitting the 6ft mark, and they were planted after mid May as babies.
These new pots and raised beds make them feel a lot taller walking around. Not to mention they are vastly easier to work on when elevated from ground level or below (last year).
it's also possible to put the tarp up 12 hours after sunrise, and take it off again once it gets dark out. or it worked for me i should say. i think it helped a bit with ventilation to have the tarp on for less hours too.

beautiful as ever this year, my favorite parts are the pruning of interior and low sucker branches. it's incredible how much nicer and calmer they look after they get that haircut down below. great work.
