yeah, dont get too dissapointed if your second harvest isnt much better. They say 1g/w but that is really unreasonable for most, even seasoned growers. i have been growing for a few years now and avg around 12/-3/4 gram per watt, not saying im a great grower by any means but when i am serious about it i do well with minimal issues.

You would be considered a very wise man if you cloned your next batch, then you can forget about seeds for awhile.

Yea I got 11 seeds left though So i'm not concerned with cloning just yet, Want to hone my skills a little better then i'll keep a mommy plant around just for cloning purposes.

besides growing from seed is a beautiful experience get to watch them grow up from a tiny little baby to a huge bush.

Oh I know iv done a lot of research thus the reason my plants even turned out as good as they did. But practice makes perfect, plus i'm adding more lighting to my flower. I just wanted to see what I could do with only 400 watt hps and I like it. I'll eventually work my way up to a 1000.

i would say 2x 400 is better than a 1kw light. 2x600 is even better. i bought a 1k light and i run it on 600w most of the time.

Well yea if you're growing a bunch of plants but I will only be growing a couple at a time. Not looking to sell any just personal use so I won't need huge amounts of plants.

welll what im trying to say is even for a smaller amount of plants your better off with 2x 400 wat lights than you are with 1x1000w. you get more bang for your buck and use less power. get more coverage area and yadda yadda ya. i mean the 1kw lights are great if you dont have the option to have 2x400 and need to cover a bigger area but mine barely covers a 4x6 area. if i had 2x400w i could have each 400w cover a 2x3 section of the room, use less power and get better light distribution.
really dosent matter how many plants you have its how big the area is and lighting it the most cost efficient while providing the best light to the plants,
the one great thing about the 1kwat ballasts is you can run them at 50% for veg (400w) then if you feel you need more light later you can kick them up to 600w. but i personally feel 1kw is just a money dump in electricity bills for the light it pushes out.

Thanks, it tastes great it's been curing for like a week now I can definitely feel the potency increasing as time goes on. Research says about two weeks to be fully cured so can't wait. I'd share some with all of you if I could lol.

I definitely see what you mean, I have another 250 watt HPS that Ill be using ontop of the 400 plus I may put some CFL's in there that I have for an extra boost to the lower parts of my plant. I just planted a couple more seeds last night they are already sprouted and getting their first set of fan leafs. Love seeing them from seed so much progress each day it gets exciting.
