I only use Ca and Mg when they're required.
I have the canna mono bottles.
So your 1.5EC is made up of
0.2 calmag
0.4 source water
And the base nutes.
So your base is only actually 0.9EC
By using calmag this early on you want to watch out for Mg def later on down the road.
Most branded cocos are buffered to about 1.5EC anyway with a calcium source. Generally calcium nitrate.
Too much calcium can cause Mg def symptoms later on.
If it ain't broke don't fix it but the above could explain why your seedlings are seemingly thriving.
If you really want to fuck around with them on a high EC then you need to add 1.5EC of base nutes on top of your other EC values. Which would push you up into something stupid like 2.1. I don't advocate doing this.
Personally if it were me I would drop calmag for now as if you are using canna coco nutes then they already have 5% Ca and 2% Mg in them to start with.
It could be worthwhile finding out from your water company what makes up the 0.4EC in your source water.
My starting EC is 0.2 and it contains nitrates, phosphates, Flouride, chlorine, calcium, magnesium and a few others.
Some folks that have hard water (EC0.4 and above) sometimes cut it 50/50 with rain water to bring down the EC but then you could run into other contaminate issues.
